Been a bit of a break, but let's start back up, yeah? 5 more levels brings us to Level 25 now, so level up your guys. Remember: one person can have a full make-over.
Get the player/team builds to me by Sunday. Also: get your line-ups ready. Round 1 you will be playing...yourself! I'm going to rig the brackets so that we all play our own teams in Round 1. Fleck and I decided that'd be most fair so nobody gets a mid-season refresher where they can rest a goalie without fear of a loss.
Added to this: I will rig the tournaments to make sure each of us has a team in each bracket. I'll still use the data from the league and all tweaks will be as minor as possible. For instance, if they end up at #4 and #5, I'll make one of those #6 to move to the next bracket. Not a HUGE shift, but one that'll guarantee our teams can't play each other unless they both happen to reach the finals.
Otherwise, no other changes to the program. Last round was messed up, so we'll have a solid League 4, just to know what is, was, and should be.
Let's blitz, ya'll!

Finally got around to making my teams. Marche has been rebuilt for Loveless, while Edea has been remade for Guests Who.
And now all the pressure is on Count! If SM7 and MAG still languish even with the fixed program, then I am fully prepared to mock you relentlessly!

I'M SO PREPARED I DIDN'T EVEN REWORK ONE GUY! I am expecting a top 3 performance from at least one of my teams! Don't let me down, teams.

For Grizzlies, I reworked Tellah...again. For Mercenaries, I didn't rework anybody. Can't wait to get started! And I apologize in advance if the season hits an abrupt pause. If it does, it's baby related. Hoping we can get done with the league before that though! I doubt the tournament though because I'd like to try a double-elimination tournament this time. Good luck, everybody! Make sure you also submit your first game's line-ups asap. Remember: you're playing against yourselves to start. League is here: challonge.com/blitzleague04

Alba and Odine are reworked... for the wins (or maybe it would be best if the first round ended in a tie?)
Also, you're going to want to update the "Match Results" link on the challonge page.

First round has been simmed! We all played with ourselves. TOGETHER! Gabe: I THINK I used your standard line-ups? Left and rights might've been swapped, I dunno, but that's what we've got. Hope it's right. IMPORTANT: I updated the Goers and Aurochs in a different way. For the Goers, their goalie got gooder. All Goers are 2 levels ahead, this now includes the goalie. So shot big, guys! For the Aurochs, they got a super upgrade! Keepa is on par with our teams (level 25), and the rest of the team is 2 behind (23)...except Wakka. Wakka is currently the best player in the game. He is level 30. So fear the Wakka! He plays Left Forward every time, so you might want to shut him down. He doesn't get the ball too often, but in a practice game I had, paired with Keepa's SHT goalie bonus (which you know is high since it's friggin named for him), he had a SHT of 112! So we're going with the idea now that Wakka has learned Aurochs Spirit Get me line-ups by Wednesday and I'll sim the next round. Good to be back to blitzing! SPOILERS: Not a ton to say. Count's teams both seem to have something to prove, and they're proving it to each other. SM7 seems to be a shoot-tastic team with 12 friggin goals! Goers are still strong, despite the Aurochs boost, so beware. Like Fleck mentioned before, and I agreed, we need the Goers to be a threat because it's fun. So hopefully that proves true.

Results are up! Sorry for the delay--was busy last couple days.
SPOILERS:
THERE'S the Missiles I've been expecting! Ladies know how to build a chain. Getting +24 SHT is a helpful thing, it seems. The Golden Arms are strong with them.
Something weird happened with SM7 and GB. Probably more than just them, too, but I noticed a goal scored at 0:43 in the second half...then at 0:22...then at 0:01? Then at 1:23. I...don't know what's going on, but the games are progressing properly, so I'm hoping it's just an error in output, so hopefully not a cause for alarm, just weird output.
Curious to find out of Loveless's tie with the Goers is a celebration-worthy event or not. Hard to say when it's only the second game. The Goers blowing out the Aurochs is not enough to see if the Goers are as deadly as I hope they are. So that might've been a good thing. *shrug*
I didn't check all shots, but I know Gafgarion hit 123 with a SHT. Can anybody beat that this season? We shall see! It's amusing though, since shots of 50-70 seem to go in pretty consistently. Ol' Gaf is basically double that (with goalie bonus at least). Good job, Gaf. Way to be OP.

Glad to see the Magic Missiles are performing well now! However once again the Grizzly Bears are proving that they are the manliest team in the league, beating out their rivals in SM7. So far team Auron > team Jecht in the blitz world, although they managed to more or less keep up until the last couple of minutes. Not even close to matching Gaf's shooting record though, even with Rydia's none-too-shabby 93 (although Abus trumped her with a 94). Also, there was only a single shooting attempt made in the entire NS vs GW game. Way to make it a dull one, guys

I think Wakka will take the shooting record, if they'd ever pass him the dang ball, but so far, long live Gafgarion! I really like both of my teams. They have interesting dynamics. Like Grizzlies, which might be the only team in the league with two dedicated goalies (truth? not truth? *shrug*), but one goalie (Galuf) easily overlaps as a defender, although not better than Auron or Duncan. And Mercs are packed to the brim with defenders, plus Gaf! NS and GW are both incredibly defense heavy, so if they both manage to stifle the big shooters (Larsa and Illua), then that's kinda what happens. Same happens with the Mercs and Gaf, which is why I bounce his positions around a lot
