Okay, Losers Round 2 is simmed! Next round will go up on Sunday. If you'd like to go faster, I can sim before that, too, but just kinda let me know.
SPOILERS:
Losers Round 1: Grizzlies vs Shades. Started out an intense match. Reno was doing well, Orlandu was responding. But finally, those Grizzlies proved that they're tournament pros and took the win 5-3. Good match though, for sure! Grizzlies move on, Shades go home.
Losers Round 2: Missiles vs Mercs. Yes, the score was a blow-out. The Missiles are strong and I wouldn't rule out that formation just yet, Count, since a passing team SHOULD greatly benefit from the Relay formation. However, I unlocked the Mercenaries' true potential on this match. It's some potential that I've had brewing for some time now, but I haven't been playing my own team properly. At least, that's what it seems like. We'll see how they do moving forward, but I'd put them in as some tough competition at this point. Mercs go on and, sorry, Count, but the Missiles are out.
Next rounds to sim will be the TME vs LO match (got the line-ups already, so we're good to go) and GB vs MRC (I can have those line-ups ready to go quickly since...y'know...both mine). I guarantee one of my teams stays in and the other goes home! ...yay...

I've already got Loveless in, so if you've already got Gabe in then let's go. No sense drawing this out.

Okay, we're down to it! Got the first finalist down and now just need to see who'll compete against that finalist!
SPOILERS:
Round 3: Mads vs Loves. Pure domination. They may have won in the league, but Loveless had something to prove against those Mad Experiments this time. Lightning pretty much did everything herself, at least point-wise. With a 1-9 victory, Loveless waits in the finals to see who their competition will be.
Losers Round 3: Close game, but the Mercs are on a roll, knocking out those pesky Grizzlies 6-4! Still, those Grizzlies held them to six points, which is good considering the last couple games for the Mercs.
The great thing about the next match is that whoever wins gets a grudge match against Loveless. Loveless knocked out the Mercs in Round 1 and the Mad Experiments in Round 3, so they're both itching to get revenge. Still, if one of them DOES get revenge, they will still have another match to win. Loveless has quite the edge right now and can do one of two strategies: 1. Try to win it all in the first finals round, or 2. Use the first round to rest some key players and take them down in the second. Might depend on the opponent though--we shall see! Good luck to all three remaining teams!

Commentary:
*sigh*
I can no longer vouch for the accuracy of my stamina reports. After finding YET ANOTHER mistake in my writeups, I really don't know how accurate these numbers are anymore. I'm 99% sure that Loveless is fine, and I feel pretty confident about MadX, but Mercs are a total crapshoot. Bob, you might want to check your numbers against mine.

I'm keeping track--no worries. Worker 8 was wrong last line-up, too. Meant to mention it, but didn't feel like it.

Simmed the TME vs MRC match. When I get line-ups from both of yous guys, I can sim the finals.
SPOILERS:
The match was a slaughter, really. TME proved themselves to be better than the Mercs by far. Not much else to say on that. What I will say though is that I'm kind of glad to have the Mercs drop out. Sure, I would've liked them to go on, but Worker 8 only had one more game left in him, and since they'd need two wins to beat Loveless, I'd need a backup goalie for the finals. So they really stood very little chance.
So now, the pressure is on for the Mad Experiments. They need two wins, while Loveless only needs one. Loveless kicked their butts just two games ago (one game ago for Loveless), but the Experiments beat them in the league, so they definitely have a shot. Good luck to both teams!

Loveless broke TME's 8-game win streak (crazy, right?)... TME seeks revenge. That is all.

Okay, the awkward situation here is that I have to be Mr. Spoilers. If I say, "Give me your next line-ups!" then you know TME won, and if I say, "What a thrilling conclusion!" then you know LO won. So...spoilers time.
SPOILERS:
What a thrilling conclusion! Seriously though, I think we definitely had the two best teams in the finals. The game could've gone either way. They tied in their first play, which was crazy because both teams took the lead at some point by a two-point margin. Final match was good, too, but I don't think TME ever took the lead, they just caught up frequently.
But with that, Loveless is the tournament champions! Their first tournament win since the Demo/Practice Tournament! Loveless and the Mercenaries, are the first to complete the full collection of tournament trophies (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) and Loveless is now tied with the Grizzly Bears as the biggest threats in the league with 9 points overall. The Mad Experiments jump up a couple spots with their new silver trophy, putting them as the fifth best team overall.
Good job to all!

That really was riveting - TME and LO got to play two games in the final after all! Well-played, Fleck. Maybe I'll get you next time

Well-played indeed! You had a solid shot of taking both games if you beat me the first round, because I would have had to rest Lightning in the second game. And without Lightning, LO tends to lose. A lot. If you coulda cracked that first game, you probably would have won the tournament. So I was really nervous about this game. Also, in addition to having a shiny complete set of trophies, Loveless now joins the Grizzlies as the only two teams with both a #1 League and a #1 Tournament finish (in different seasons). After four leagues, we still have not had a team win the league and the tournament in the same season, although TME came DAMN close this time. Note: The Mercs might have a #1 and #1 finish, if you don't count the Goers in season 2. But the Mercs suck, so who cares, right?
