Got MY game up, but need more line-ups, ya'll! Will update when I get games. Fleck and the Grizzlies (not a rock band...yet) are ready to go. Bring it on!
SPOILERS: Mercs are awesome. Suck it, Goers. That is all.

Results are up! If you can get me line-ups soon, then I can upload tomorrow or later this week. Unfortunately, I had the time for updates on Sunday, but didn't have results until Monday, and didn't have time until now. Fun with non-complementary schedules. Whee! So just like, as soon as you can. I'd like to have a game on Sunday and a game BEFORE Sunday, basically. Fingers crossed.
SPOILERS:
Count was right. He's got some good teams this time. Mine, too, but psh, old hat. Should be a good season. Guests aren't doing well, but they've had tough competition so far. But then, hell, they might all be tough competition. We'll see!

Commentary: Woo! I got the stamina up in less than 24 hours this time! Go me!
In not "go me" news, I sure suck at this game. Woulda helped GW if I put people in the right spots. Lebreau is a forward and FuSoYa is a defender. I'm not saying GW woulda won, but they probably would have done better if I wasn't such a screw up.
*sigh*
This is why I'm not allowed near the program. Might wanna double-check the stamina reports, in case I accidentally gave someone -100 stamina or something.

Was the Lebreau vs Fusoya thing an accident or trying something new? Sometimes defenders up front is a decent strategy, but the rest of the team needs to compensate.

No. I transposed the "RF" and the "RD" when I sent you the team lineup. There is no good strategy in the world where Lebreau is on defense.

True. Moving defense forward is sometimes a good idea. Moving a forward to defense is never a good idea.

Heh, yup. All results just went up! Well, if people DID get line-ups by tomorrow, I could sim tomorrow, but we basically missed Wednesday and this was an early Sunday. So, if you've got 'em by tomorrow, I'll upload. Otherwise, we'll do this Wednesday.
SPOILERS:
As Wyvern stated, the Goers took down NS pretty good. Otherwise, it's starting to look like the shooting-heavy teams are doing well right about now.
SM7 took a loss to the Mercs, but that's in part because SM7's #1 threat was sleepy. Then again, I anticipated Jecht's nap time and decided to give Gaf a nap, too, so both were without their #1 powerhouses, but Mercs have a solid second powerhouse in Tseng, while Jecht's second is Laguna, who is good, but not Tseng good.
Biggest shocker this season: Magic Missiles, though we all kinda knew they should've done a lot better last season if not for that glitch. They were beaten down by Jecht in Round 1, but have been doing well otherwise. Takes a lot to crack Loveless's defense.

I don't think SM7 has ever actually beaten the Mercs, it's always been a team they've struggled with, even with their star player intact. One day...
Glad to see the magic missiles are performing well though, I wasn't sure how well they'd cope with Loveless considering their dominance last season.

Plus side: TME kept Wakka to two shots the whole game. Negative side: Both went in. Plus-sized plus side: They won anyway!
Anyway, I'll be sending in my lineups momentarily...

Commentary:
It's not really all that hard to beat Loveless. The secret is to score 5 goals. If you can do that, you've basically won. Even last season when LO went undefeated, they scored at most 4 goals every game (except against the Aurochs). Loveless is a team entirely built to stop goals from coming in, and if you get goals in, then you've won, because LO's offense can't compensate. So when you have a season like last season, where a big piece of the offense program was broken, then Loveless does awesome. But when you have a season like this, where everyone's scoring pretty loosely, then Loveless sucks. It depends on the mood of the season.

That's a good point actually. Loveless more than any other team benefited from the shot bonus bug. Although I thought you altered the team last season to have a bit more offensive capability?
Either way, I know that feel of having both teams scrambling to even make it into the top half, from last season. MAG had an excuse then, but SM7 didn't. Jecht must have had a bad season, but don't tell him I said that.

You all got me your line-ups quickly, so we've got Sunday results! Get the next line-ups by Wednesday and we'll be right on track. Woo!
SPOILERS:
My teams got their humble pie today. Right after Fleck talks about scoring X points against Loveless, here's a down-to-the-wire game LO vs GB that was just back and forth point-for-point with Loveless keeping the edge. My favorite part was toward the end when Lightning shoots and beans Dr. Kadowaki in the face with the ball, then Terra puts it in. Those two were assaulting the net all game long, so it was great to see them even team up on a point, basically.
Mercs experimented against the Experiments and failed. They didn't play their main goalie (in fact, there wasn't even a goalie in goal) and they pushed a defender up to the front position, a strategy I haven't used since at least league/tournament #2. Thought I'd try it again, but alas: fail.
Speaking of fail, nice try, SM7. Goers are still a very strong team. And NS stopped the MAG train with a tie. Lots of close games today. Can't wait to see more! Whee!

Both of my games were nail-biters, and it looks like mine weren't the only ones! A good round... Although I thought it was weird that Deling got so many goals. I mean, he's a forward... but more a support forward.
What I love about these games is that the moment you simulate it the game is decided, there's no changing the outcome, and yet it can be a heart-pounder if you scroll through. So cool.
