Wow. This one's weird, since you even said you wouldn't do another mixed team, Bob.
But they fit. They're both narcissistic, genocidal (as said), horribly misguided psychos, so they'd actually do some damage on the race.

I don't think this team comes as a huge shock. They've been on the "do them" list since back in season two and have never left the list. They only get along on a very small level and they're not the most physically able, but they're ruthless and mean, which might be good for them. Don't know how well they'll do, but it's hard to pass them up. Scarlet & Heidegger: Co-Workers!

I'd like to discount them right off the bat, but since Shinra and Rufus won season 1, it's hard to just shrug off members of Shinra Co. even when they seem to be unlikely competitors. I don't think there's any way possible that these two won't be villains, which ought to be amusing.

This team might not get the most praise coming from a sequel, but it made more sense than the initial team I considered. I initially had intended to use Yang/Sheila, but very little is known of Sheila except that she hits things with frying pans. So, instead, I swapped her out for her daughter, who doesn't appear until The After Years. And so, we have Yang & Ursula: Father/Daughter!

For Scarlet & Heidegger, I need only reply to this quote from Fleck: I'd like to discount them right off the bat, but since Shinra and Rufus won season 1, it's hard to just shrug off members of Shinra Co. even when they seem to be unlikely competitors. . . . Reno & Rude? As for Yang & Ursula, I know who Yang is. I've never played After Years, though, so I don't have any clue of who Ursula is. Still, the last father/daughter team didn't do so hot, so I'm hoping Bob won't toss these two aside for another team who technically does worse on a leg than they do.

Here comes another controversial team! When I thought about FF6 characters I wanted to use, these two were both on the list, but didn't know who to pair them with and which one to use...until I decided to pair them together. Does it make sense on paper? Not really. And you'll have to see how it works to really understand it, but here's the latest strange team, Kefka & Terra: Master/Slave!

Hoo boy. This cast is a trainwreck waiting to happen. Not liking that many of them one bit.

I think we need an all-female team announced, so here we go. Both of these are possibly my favorite characters from any Final Fantasy, so it totally makes sense to use them. I'm so glad this game came out before I made my final new-team season of the race. I know I don't usually go for non-humans, but at least moogles have a human-like form, so it'll work. Not to spoil anything, but these two make the Final 3. Here they are, Mog & Chocolina: Treasure Finders!

Oh, this is obviously an April Fool's gag.

Yes, Mog/Chocolina was an April Fool's gag. Ignore it. But, since that was an all-female team, I'll announce my real all-female team. It's the only one these season since, unfortunately, every time I thought of a decent all-female team, I thought of another mixed or all-male team that I wanted to use more and the all-female teams fell by the wayside. This team was my first team selected for this race and for a good reason. They're an inseparable pair and are definitely the type to do this kind of race. Since I've opened the game up to FF13, I give you the only all-female team: Fang & Vanille: Best Friends.

Yeah, I mean, that was a given that they'd be cast. I can see them doing really well. Good bond, good physical strength, good stamina, and probably some mental skills that are at least decent. Unless they fall on bad terms, I think they'll go far.
