Sorry, but between the way-too-rushed start, the tarnishing of the spiel about the rules, and the early "twist" that was pretty much an unnecessary twist, this rates an EPIC FAIL for me.

Everyone's a critic! When I've got some time free I'll give it a read.

Well, I thought it was a fun start and I like the graphics even better with the tweaking of the format. I was amused by how Tidus and Wakkas' relationship is referred to as "Bromance."And regarding the thing with the rules-- not every gag has to be carried on forever. I thought there was some good stuff on this first part and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the leg.

Well, whoopty-damn-doo for all of you. I, for one, know that I'm NOT going to enjoy this season, and I have no problem saying it.

You said that about the last season too and then three or four episodes later, you decided that while it had started out slow for you, it improved.

If you don't like it, don't read it.
God, and you call us clueless.

I'm workin' on bettin' my place before I go and read what's up and see what all the hoopla is about. As always, my wagers are a bit different, but we'll see how things go.

Here's my bets! I'm going to put a variable number at the end of each write-up (a give or take) of +/- to indicate what I think the max/min potential of these teams is. Of course, any team could win, but some are much less likely. Hope you find my perspective interesting.
12th - Cid/Hilda - Sure, these characters are steadfast in their personalities, resourceful, and strong-willed, but they are also often at odds with one another. Their strengths (Cid's knowledge of machines and general dexterity and Hilda's magic) prove to be a major wild card, because we don't know what tasks they're up against, but their weaknesses (Hilda's anger and Cid's ability to invoke it, in addition to age) are consistent. +/-4 (again, this means I think they could manage 8th at best)
11th - Vaan/Penelo - Well, I put them here because I don't know a lot about them, but they were in FFTA2, and they did nothing but get into tough situations and need bailing out. From what I gather, they're somewhat impulsive with their actions, which often leads them to make mistakes, but which could also prove a major advantage in certain situations, as they have the ability to make the most out of a bad thing. I could be very wrong on these folks, because their luck is going to determine how they do. +/-6
10th - Godo/Yuffie - This pairing is almost exactly like Zell and Ma, with one major difference - where Ma helped to build Zell up and counter his rash behavior, Godo seems to fuel Yuffie's rebellion and cause her to act even more rashly. Unless they get their act together, they won't last long. +/-2
9th - Rafa/Malak - Okay, so they're lame in FFT. Granted, my save file got erased, so I haven't seen what happens with them toward the very end (I had all the secret charas and everything else, but I didn't beat the game - it dropped toward the bottom of my to do list), but I still think they have potential. Call it a feeling or something, but I wouldn't count them out just yet. +/-2
8th - Tidus/Wakka - Here's a team that is lower by virtue of their weaknesses and bad luck more than their strengths. Wakka's not very quick on the uptake, and Tidus (I called him Seifer in my game, y'know, for kicks) needs a lot to be explained to him... always. They are both very strong and fast (though not as terrifyingly strong and fast as I made Lulu, Rikku, and Yuna [insert diabolical laughter here]), but will run into problems when Tidus jumps to conclusions and Wakka follows him down. +/-3
7th - Kiros/Ward - These two have major potential. They are so in-sync with one another that words wouldn't even be necessary if they were an option (this is assuming Bob's not undone the muteness despite undoing death for others). Regardless, this is a dynamic duo that, between them, can present a major challenge to the others. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they made the final 3, but I ran out of room. As with some other teams, they might be nixed for being too good. +/-4
6th - Cloud/Aeris - Am I the only one who doesn't think this pairing is all-too fantastic? Cloud only truly willingly takes a leadership role in the second half of the game, and that's primarily because he wants Sephiroth out of his bloodstream/mind - through most of the game, he's self-serving, despite needing his supporting cast to help him make it through. Sure, he's strong and fast, but he too is not very smart. Aeris isn't very fast or strong, and she was never upfront with anyone in the game... sure she had 'plans,' but she always kept them to herself, which nearly screwed everyone over every time, and until her plans involve anything other than sacrificing herself/channeling the lifestream, she's not going to really help the pairing's chances. Back to Cloud: his main strength is that he's still a mercenary at heart - he'll do anything for that gil, and since Aeris is willing to sacrifice anything for him/the cause, they might have a shot... but it seems unlikely. +/-2
5th - Lucil/Elma - These two survived a direct hit from Sin - they are intrepid and never give up... they are always on Chocobo... hmm... that could present a problem in other situations considering, as Clasko always said, "How do they expect me to keep up [on foot]". They may be strong, but I don't think either of them would be particularly fast. We don't know a lot about their resourcefulness either, except that they never give up and carry on no matter how bleak the odds seem. These two could be tough to knock out, and could very well make the T3. +/-2
4th - Setzer/Daryl - No one believes that Luck can take you all the way, but I think it can get a pair like Setzer and Daryl pretty far. The duo were nigh-unstoppable in their day - wheelin' and dealin', and they love nothing more than the thrill of competition. They may be gamblers, but they also know how to turn the odds in their favor. They are a strong, capable team that could easily make the top 3, but one major obstacle could turn the odds against them. +/-3
T3 - Selphie/Irvine - Just to go back a while to a dead discussion (no other debate being referenced by my word choice, but y'know... that too), I'd like to point out that Fleck never even said that they WERE SeeDs - he said they had SeeD training which, regardless of how you look at it, is true, because the purpose of the Gardens was to train SeeDs to stop sorceresses. Anyway, back before a single team was announced, I said that team 4 (these guys) was gonna win. Nothing's changed in that initial prediction - I think it's very possible. The two work together great and are both very agile and capable. Selphie may be exciteable, but she's not an airhead. Irvine may be a bit aloof at times, but that allows him to see more and pick up on key details no one else noticed (like how Edea was Matron). Both might be in trouble if something goes really wrong, but they have the ability to keep that from happening, and I have no problem seeing them in the final three. +/-2
T3 - Celia/Lede - An easy candidate for the villain pairing in this race, Celia and Lede are ruthless assassins who may present all of the hassle of Dona and Barthello with none of the weaknesses - the two are intense and always mean business. Their downfall may be if they are played as if they don't know what to do, because they are operating under their own command, but they have little else to overcome. They are ruthless, strong, and quick, and can find their way out of any situation. Other teams had better watch out. +/-4
T3 - Blank/Marcus - These two are straightforward, honest-to-goodness players... despite being thieves. They aren't the quickest Tantalus has to offer, but they're definately better thieves than Zidane... anyway, we're getting off track here - what I'm getting at is, they are always on-point, have great teamwork, and balance each other out - Blank is more nimble and skilled with dexterity and Marcus is stronger and more capable of labor-intensive tasks. The two are both careful and resourceful, and their ability to think well while under the gun will help them immensely. +/-3

You said that about the last season too and then three or four episodes later, you decided that while it had started out slow for you, it improved. Yeah. Not happening with this season, though. I'll probably read it out of habit, but I definitely won't be getting into it. God, and you call us clueless. Because you are.

It's number two for me, Wyvern. It's kinda hilarious. I could take administrative action, but it's just too funny when he says things

Got some time free now, everything's settled down again now with me. Enjoying the season so far! I've never played Ehrgeiz so can't really relate to the locales as I did in the start of seasons 1 and 2, but I like how the teams are doing. I'm surprised Kiros didn't do the swim though, he moves like a fish even out of water, so I imagine he'd be like an eel in it!
