Clasko has agreed to goalkeep for the Pluto Knights. I still need to read over this in more detail and find out more about how exactly this works...

Okay, cool. When all the teams have been decided (aiming for this friday, after Amy's had a chance to hopefully set up a Sephiroth team) i'll post something with Jecht explaining the rules as simply as possible. This whole thread up til now has been a big mix of ideas and stats and whatnot, so I doubt many people are exactly sure on what the final outcomes will be, but i'll clarify with Jecht shortly.
A quick basics though - player characters are built by the people who play them, rather than the captains of the teams they are in. So agent0042 will design Clasko's stats, not Steiner (me).
45 total stat points per player, to spend on pass, shot, endurance, block, tackle, and catch. The goalkeeper's catching stat is determined by the combined total of the catch (CA) stat of everyone else on the team. It takes 3 points from your stat pool to increase a players' CA stat by 1, however. The other stats work on a simple 1:1 basis however.
If a player character (not an NPC) is in goal, then he will provide a +1 bonus to the overall total CA stat, and they will not need to bother with designing their characters stats. Goalies are exceptions to the rule in that regard. The only difference between an NPC and a PC goalie is that +1 goal boost, which is more significant than it sounds.
Edit: I see Clasko's signed up for the position of goalkeeper, which means you won't have to worry about making a stat build, but he'll still be an asset to the team over an NPC. If you do get the itch to make a proper statistical build though, then let me know and Clasko can swap positions.

Wyvern: Faris will take LR, unless you want someone else there.

If we need one more team I could technically have Vivi captain a magical user team. It would be....
The Black Mages FR: Edea FL: Adel Mid: Ultimecia RR: Mr. 288 RL: Black Mage (FF1) Goalie: Vivi
But again, they would only play if we need another team. A Backup if you will.
Also, Lieberkuhn, I'll send you a PM of my guys/npcs stats. For now I'll assume Bonnie is still playing though I don't see any traces of the guy who was gonna play Cecil. I'll make Cecil's stats but if he does end up posting still then he can send you his own form of the stats for Cecil.
EDIT: Nevermind about Cecil, looks like he made a post.

I'm thinking we probably won't need Vivi to make that team, although we could have a bye round or two somewhere if Vivi really wants to captain a blitzball team. Amy'll probably revive the Warriors of Chaos or something similar, once she's back.
Bonnie will probably return, she didn't seem like she was going to leave anytime soon! I'm not sure how involved Cecil's player is yet, but he did say to Bob that he'd post more frequently as of monday, so hopefully he'll get into it and be up for designing his own character. If not i'll use the stats you give me. Remember, 45 points for each player character, 40 for the NPCs.
There's no rush however, I won't start requesting stats from people until friday, which should give every team ample time to prepare. Unfortunately for Amy she's running out of player characters for a Sephiroth team, but she could probably snatch up Quistis or something, but 2 days should be enough for her to get it sorted out.

Vivi doesn't really need to captain a team, I just suggested it if Amy were to decide against reviving a team.

My new character, Mira, can join Amy's team should Amy need/want her - she's a protagonist, but she's a villain, so it would work.

Cool, that post just got me on the final fantasy wiki page to see who she is and what she does (haven't really played crystal chronicles). One crazy outfit! I assume the different font colours represent her darklord and princess sides?
Edit: Yunalesca and Mira would both be good on a team together, if Sephiroth could endure their manic personalities.

Yeah - I haven't played any of the CC games, though I own the first one - I plan to eventually get My Life as a King (where Chime comes from) and My Life as a Darklord - probably when I get home if have any money left, since I think it'll be out by then... Mira looks pretty funky... in a cool way...

Well, lets hope you don't find the characters are completely different in personality from how you play them then

Heh - well, Chime seems like the astute and watchful sort and Mira seems like the wicked yet spazzy type, based on what I've found out so far while looking into them...
If it should not be the case... well, at least I'll be the first to know...

Yep. Well, a character's what you make them, just look at Bugging Sephiroth! I don't think any of us would particularly care or even realise if you played them all wrong!

Well, AFFR is what brought me to the site in the first place, and it was officially the first fanfic i've read all the way through, the only other being bugging sephiroth, or at least what exists so far of it. Although I don't generally search for fanfics, they're the only ones that kept my interest. I'm not fond of most amateurish writing, especially when dealing with pre-established characters and settings, so I guess it was refreshing to see some very light-hearted writing that takes a lot of liberties with the characters. In short, I liked it Incidentally, of all the forums i've signed up to in my life (a measly 5 or so in total), this is the only one i've actually contributed more than 3 posts to as well XD
