Yeah, not sure what's up, Wyvern. Something's just not right. MadX was a top tier team in the past couple leagues. Now that a couple bugs are fixed, they're not doing so well. *shrug* Might be like my Mercs. I had a vision for them and apparently that vision is a TERRIBLE idea because they're winless so far, too. Was a good idea on paper, I guess, but not in execution.
Count: I think MAG was always a solid team build, but glitches were holding them back. I don't think they'll be able to handle big shooting teams (since SM7 didn't go well for them), but who knows?

By the way, I'm going to be out of town on Sunday and likely won't get to the blitz games until I get back home. I'll sim the games some time Monday through Wednesday, but not entirely sure when. Still, send me those line-ups and I'll post them asap. Thanks!

Yeah, Guinness is pretty much a boss at catching the ball. The Diamonds are all about having one stat way above the others. Which isn't necessarily a good thing as soon in the game against the Magic Missiles. The Diamonds couldn't even attempt a shot. Total shut-out.

Hell, I had time tonight and I got all the line-ups, so let's do this!
**********Round 6 Stamina**********
Highwind Diamonds Shara=8 Angeal=7 Vincent=10 Wakka=6 Biggs=10 Macgregor=0 Guinness=5 Rin=1
Sublimely Magnificent 7 Jecht=7 Balthier=6 Seifer=10 Cid Highwind=8 Edge=4 Edgar=5 Laguna=10 Snow=2
The Magic Missiles Rydia=7 Garnet=6 Rinoa=1 Aeris=10 Yuna=6 Lulu=5 Selphie=10 Vanille=4
Grizzly Bears Orlandu=1 Sazh=10 Zangan=4 Auron=8 Duncan=6 Galuf=5 Tellah=8 Unei=10
Mercenaries Lani=5 Amarant=8 Ba'Gamnan=8 Gafgarion=5 Tseng=10 Elena=10 Rude=1 Worker 8=5
The Mad Experiments Odine=0 Hojo=10 The Mask=7 Kuja=8 Celes=6 No. 288=5 Deling=4 Julius=10
Nightshades Blank=8 Illua=10 Fujin=0 Chime=6 Mira=10 Llednar=5 Reno=4 Desch=7
Marlboro Mayhem Brother=5 Tidus=7 Zack=2 Cloud=10 Rufus=2 Shinra=5 Ashe=10 Reks=8
*****Results*****
Finally, one thing gets settled tonight: the bottom team. Yes, we have three teams with a 0-4-0 record, and they're facing off tonight. The results? Well, it was looking like a tie for a long time, but finally Gafgarion edged it out, giving the Mercs their first win of the league! That's...kinda sad.
Meanwhile, the most surprising game was the Shades versus Marlboros. In a surprise upset, the Shades destroy the Marlboros' four-game streak! Number 6 takes down Number 1! Very nice!
Also, the Grizzly streak was SO CLOSE to being destroyed, too! The Missiles stayed toe-to-toe all game, even pulling ahead at several points. If not for a final strike just 11 seconds till the buzzer, the Bears would've had a tie on their hands, but they barely contain their win record.
Just a note to you all as you make your line-ups, just keep in mind that we have five games left: two in league and three in tournament (since we'll just do a single-elimination tournament), so stamina-wise, anybody that rested this round or beyond will be able to play defense, center, or goalie from here on out without needing to be benched.
Next game on Sunday! Line-ups by then! Lovin' the season so far--hope you all are, too! I feel like this MIGHT be the first ever glitch-free season! Woohoo!

Woo! My teams are above average for once! I put my best gals forward for the match against the Grizzlies, I think they did a good job. Slightly off topic, I just came across my own instance of code handling integer/double conversions in a retarded way. This didn't work, and x equaled 0: double x = 1 / cA.length; This did: double z = cA.length; double x = 1 / z; Good old programing logic! Thanks to the recent discovery you had about this in the blitz program, I was able to fix this in record time! Blitzball - totally helping my uni career.

Go blitzball! Serving a purpose! Woohoo!
And yeah, both of your teams put up good fights. Missiles are in a good position to take third in the league, too! If they win their next match, then 2nd is feasible, and if they win both games and the Bears lose both, then we might have a 3-way tie for first!

The game of Marlboro vs the Sublimely Magnificent 7 was awesome! SM7 lead at half time by one point and it was back and forth for a little bit. The pressure must have been too much for Jecht because there were a couple shots made that Guinness was easily able to catch and return up the field. Got to hand it to the SM7 defense for returning the ball back to the shooters quickly. Nearly a buzzer-beater, Jecht puts one more securely into the goal for a tie game at 4:58.
The Nightshades vs Marlboro was equally impressive. Undefeated so far in this league, the Marlboros are displaced by the Nightshades! Chime is a fearsome opponent. Crazy high block and attack. Easily the keystone to this win.

I also want to point out that both of my teams had a "broken" substitute playing.

Unfortunately, we only have half of our games. Waited to post up the first half hoping Wyvern would get his line-ups in, but no go. So we'll have full results once that happens.
Both games played were pretty interesting. The Grizzlies were on top for most of the game, but still, only ended one point away. If Wakka knew how to shoot, he could've had it since he got all the way to the other side, he just couldn't seal the deal, eventually letting Auron snag the ball and play keep away until the buzzer.
The really awesome game was Marlboros vs Missiles. This was so intense and back-and-forth! Marlboro was generally first to score, but the Missiles always followed it up. Oddly enough, they seemed to copy their style, too. Marlboros shoot from up close? Missiles shoot from up close. Marlboros build a huge shot bonus? Missiles build a huge shot bonus. Kinda funny. It REALLY looked like it was going to be a tie game (which I was totally rooting for since it would've solidified the gold for the Grizzlies), but the Marlboros got a shot in so close to the end it might as well be called a buzzer beater (4:58, I think)!
So now, we're down to the last round. The Grizzlies and the Marlboros are going to fight for the gold in the final match, which is quite intense. Grizzlies winning would mean our first ever perfect league (no loses, no ties). Marlboros winning would mean our first tie for first, resulting in much arguing over who takes the gold and who gets silver (actually no arguing since goal differentials decide the winner, but their differentials are very close).
Otherwise, SM7 and Nightshades are contenders for third, but we'd need to see their games first. If both lose in Round 6, then the top 3 teams are basically decided (Diamonds have a slim margin to pull in third, but it's incredibly unlikely).
Good luck in the final round, everybody! I'll sim the last two matches as soon as I get Wyvern's line-ups.

I can't believe that I'm almost certainly gonna take third with one of my teams! It's like my birthday and Christmas right here!

Count: I know, right? You're duking it out for third with...you!
Wyvern: I'm not even seeing you log on, so I'm guessing you're extremely busy right now. Unless you get me line-ups by the end of the night, I'm going to just use your most recent line-ups again and fill in any invalid positions with a random bencher, mmkay? Sorry if this throws things off for your stamina, but we can't keep pausing like this.
Everybody: I'm thinking next league we'll set up some sort of "if I don't give line-ups, use this line-up and these substitute" lists or something like that. That way we won't put the whole league on pause, it'll just mean you maybe don't use the line-up you were hoping to use for a game or two.
Tonight or tomorrow morning I'll sim Wyvern's missing two games, then maybe tomorrow night or maybe Friday I'll get the next round posted up, assuming I have all the line-ups by then (got Rich's already--thanks for being so punctual with your line-ups!).
