Like I said, Positions not necessarily accurate, but numbers are. I got lazy/ran out of time, so I just left the other positions alone.

Round 8 has finally been simmed! Sorry for the wait. The first week of school can be tough when you're not ready for it. I'm hoping things will go better moving forward now that I have an idea of what's going on in my class and I'm not totally disorganized. So we'll say Wednesday for the next match and hopefully I can do that. I have extra time on Wednesdays, usually, so that should be good. Spoilers: First, gotta say, I love MAG's style. First time in the game that they get the ball and they've already got a Shot Bonus of 12. Next round, Count, I hope you fix up their goalie so that they can start to like, dominate the league Also, Fleck, I think you forgot to turn Garnet's Stamina to 10 in your last recap, so Garnet should be 8 in your upcoming Stamina Results. At this point, the Shades need the Mercs to lose their next game in order to take the league title, but since the Mercs are up against the Aurochs, those odds are slim. Speaking of Mercs, they got screwed by the Goers in the sense that they played them at a TERRIBLE time. I had to really look ahead at things and I really got stuck with my line-ups. There is a way they could've tied, and if everything was perfect, maybe won (but I've never simmed that result, but got a few ties that WEREN'T 0-0, so it's possible), but it was so late in the league and I had to prep for the tournament. So I didn't throw the game, but I knew they had a slim chance. Currently, I think Fleck and I are the two with a REALLY good chance of having our teams in opposite brackets. Hard to say with Wyvern and Count because that #8 spot is up for grabs, and since one bracket is 1, 8, 4, 5, that means the distinction between 7 and 8 is huge. It MIGHT be in Wyvern's best interest to throw the game, but then again, that'll just mean TME has to face the Mercs in round one, which might not be ideal. EDIT: To add to all of this, this is the predicted tournament line-up. It might change based on the results of the last round: 1. Mercenaries 8. TOO CLOSE TO CALL 4. Loveless 5. Magic Missiles 2. Nightshades 7. TOO CLOSE TO CALL 3. Grizzly Bears 6. Guest Who This is making a few bad assumptions, such as a Loveless tie or loss, a Mercenary win, a Nightshade win, and a Grizzly win. I think the Missiles and the Guests have great upset potential. While I really doubt that Loveless will beat the Goers (since I think they're going to actively try for a tie), I don't think the Grizzlies will drop in position, although a Grizzly loss and a Missile win could actually mean the Missiles jump up to third place and bump the Grizzlies to fourth. Moral of the story: that's the prediction, but I never want to rule out unlikely scenarios and upsets. Our league sure loves a good upset.

So... if we get these to you quickly, when's the soonest you can sim?
Also, I like how LG toyed with the Mercs in the first half and then put them out of their misery. Harsh.

Can't make much of a guarantee on that with my schedule so booked during the week, but I suppose if I had all line-ups, I could possibly sim it earlier than anticipated. I know I've got my line-ups done already, but don't want to rush anybody that might not have time to do it right away.
And yes, that was harsh. Afterward, I simmed the "ideal Mercs" match against the Goers to see if they could beat them at full strength. It ended in a 3-3 tie, so...no. But still, a 3-3 tie means that small variation could've led to victory (or defeat, but shhh).

Best I managed against LG with NS was a 5-1 win, but most of the wins were by two or fewer and there weren't many to begin with. Best tie? Also 3-3.

I've got my lineups in. The TME/SM7 match should be a good one - the loser's cup.

Games are simmed. Working on setting up the tournament. Spoilers: The theme of this round is "Weeeeeell....fuck." Loveless tries for the tie, but missed it by that much! Weeeeeell fuck. TME and SM7 are battling for last seed and....uhh...they tied. Weeeeeell fuck. And then, even though Fleck will have a different response, the Grizzlies lose against the Guests! Weeeeeell what the fuck!? Seriously, I sometimes hate the Grizzlies. They are dramatically failing at...something. Defense, I think. We let loose the Larsa of war and it was bad. Larsa made bitches of us all! Really good game though. And then, Fleck will go "Weeeeell fuck" when he realizes that it puts the Guests up to a terrible spot. I think you might be playing yourself in the first round, Fleck. Good games this round though. NS vs MAG was particularly good.

Tournament is set up! challonge.com/blitztournament02Not formalized just yet, but it looks like that's the set-up. I put SM7 in the #7 spot just based on number of goals. If anybody wants to check the goal differentials on them, then we can see about swapping them before I finalize it.EDIT: I did the goal differentials. SM7 is -25, TME is -7, so by goal differentials, TME should get the #7 seed? Is that the method we liked for ties? SM7 has far more goals, but they've also been blown out many, many times. Lemme know and I'll update before we start. I'm thinkin' first round Sunday? I can do Saturday, too, if I get the line-ups by then. Good luck to everybody!

I'm okay with TME getting mopped by MRC instead of NS, if that's what you're asking.

Heh, perhaps, perhaps. One thing about our league though: it's roughly anybody's game. I don't know if teams like TME and SM7 can take the title, but I still fear them bringing about an upset. After seeing GB lose to GW, I fear that.
On that note, I have awesome plans for GB next round. Tournament time gets me all psyched to level-up and re-spec players. I have big plans for both my teams. GB bigger plans than MRC, but still, big for both.
