Holy shit, magic missiles beat loveless! And they're on level pegging with the Grizzlies! This is a strange time for my teams. I'm also glad that SM7 could beat the Aurochs. If they failed that, now THAT would be depressing

Go Magic Missiles! It's a strange season with all these ties. Normally, one or two wins couldn't move you up so much, but being that the non-Goer league max is 3 wins, that's a huge jump. And now that teams are taking those jumps, the Loveless defense is continuing to be scary, but the offense is sinking them. They need to win games, not just tie them. It's weird because Loveless WAS doing that early in the league, but they've kinda...stopped. Next round will be a big one for Nightshades and Mercs. Their showdown will determine the non-Goer top of the league. Mercs are hoping for a win and hoping that Goers go down because they want to be the only undefeated team in the league

(EDIT: RELENTLESS LIES TO FOLLOW)
Bob, unless everyone on the Missiles has a PA of 25+, then Marche is broken. I'm going to keep the results, because I hate resims and I feel really bad for Count this season, but Marche "got a hand on it" 16 times in that game and DID NOT ONCE get the ball. He's supposed to have a Block of 21, which should be more than enough to stop almost all but the very best passers in the league. I suspect something might be wrong with other players as well, because I'm doing HORRIBLY when I put in reserve players. I'm going to keep looking around.

Hmm. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll investigate. I don't think it's a problem with Marche, but there could be a larger problem in the works here. Maybe Count can shed some light on if that's possible, since I know MAG is all about passing, but otherwise, I'll see if somehow the pass blocking is failing.
....Or maybe Marche is just a tool.

... Nevermind. This is why I'm not in charge of the program.

If it helps Fleck, only one member of the Magic Missiles has a pass stat of under 20, and the rest of the non-subs range between 23 and 27 (the one sub I used was on goal duty that game). There may be issues with the program, but I do think that the Magic Missiles are probably the best passing team in the league, and I can see them regularly getting past a block of 21. Which was probably needed, because Lightning seems capable of some absurdly high shots. One of them started at 59, with a shot bonus of 7! O.o Granted, Rydia did managed a shot that started at 55, but that was with a shot bonus of 19 Lightning's scary stuff.

Yeah, it was a combination of several things that lead to the mixup. I thought Marche had higher BL, and while I knew that MM were a pass-heavy team, I didn't know that they were THAT pass heavy. I was gonna just delete the comment entirely once I realized that it was dumb, but then Bob had to go and reply and ruin everything. I blame Bob.

I think that's Bob's job as forum god. All hail Bob, lest he reveal that we are not men, but instead spuds. That means stupid/potato incase that's not a term in America

Heh, I had to edit my reply, too, because at first I thought you meant he blocked 16 times in a row, meaning I hadn't fixed my earlier problem of multiple "hand on it"s. I think I edited that reply about three times once I finally understood what you meant. I am an easily confused forum god.

Here "spud" only means potato. It does have a vaguely insulting sound to it though, doesn't it? Friggin SPUD! Sounds almost racist.

Wyvern, if you're around, I need your line-ups. I've started simming results, but need TME and NS to finish.
Otherwise, the "play with ourselves" round is over. Count vs Count, Fleck vs Fleck, Bob vs Computer are all simmed, just waiting on Bob vs Wyvern and Wyvern vs Computer.
Spoiler time:
We've now seen that Fleck knows how to cheat in these rounds as GW takes the biggest payoff in blitzball history to throw the match. They're not even trying to hide it, folks. Just look at that score. Hope is NOT a goalie, no not at all.
Count has proven that the shot bonus is pretty badass as his MAG gals dominate SM7, even when SM7 wasn't looking to take a dive (or at least I see no evidence of it).
Grizzlies did as expected, but we eagerly await the leader match: NS vs MRC. It'll be a good 'un. Well worth the wait, I'm sure!

Sorry guys - I haven't had my computer for the past week while I was in Austin, and then the airlines completely botched things and we ended up having to spend a day at the airport hotel... Yick, but I'll get it all lined up shortly.
UPDATE: Lineups are in.
