Game: Final Fantasy X Status: Minor NPCs Strengths: Strength. Team loyalty. Weaknesses: Rudeness. Role: Dona was a summoner that intended to bring the Calm, though she never completed her objective since Yuna and crew beat her to it. Barthello was Dona's only guardian.

Isn't their relationship lovers? It's mentioned once or twice in X and a few times in XII, I don't think they are married, but they should at least be classified as dating. Not a bad team though, but come on, you know you wanna steal some teams off my list. I may be able to squeeze in statisics before I go at 4:30, but otherwise, you may hafta wait til bout 6:00 or later. Though I doubt anyone's gonna be on in that time. Anyhow, not a bad team, they should fair nicely.

I actually played quickly through FFX-2 and tried as hard as I could to deny it's existence (despite Gippal & crew hosting the show) and I never saw the stuff about them being lovers. I'll read through some scripts and all that. It isn't mentioned at all in FFX though. The only MAYBE mentioning of it is when Dona says she wants to give up being a summoner and she and Barthello can go somewhere far away. Still, that COULD be construed as just friends. But I GUESS I'll look into their FFX-2 relationship and play off it a bit. I may play them as Summoner/Guardian though. Just FYI. I am listing them as an FFX team though, not FFX-2, so they'll be more FFX influenced. It's like Yuna and Rikku. If I had used the FFX versions of them in the first season, things would've been VERY different.
My list of teams was basically made before I posted about listing other teams. I had a list of like, 20-25 teams to use and I just narrowed them down. The ONLY team to make it purely because I liked the suggestion was Zell/Ma. The rest were already decided. Sorry. Not to mention the narrowed down list is already done...

Alternately, you could list them as Dona and Barthello: Total Dorks/Ugly

Well, their relationship is never directly mentioned, but indirectly, and situationally, it's made obvious, so script reading wouldn't help, and I doubt you wanna play through X-2 again, so just take my word for it. ;D

I got the gist of it from a script, so I'll fly with it. Either way, their relationship stands. Hopefully I'll find a good balance of FFX thems and FFX-2 thems.

Bob, I played 10-2, as well, and I did remember reading that Dona & Barthello are, in fact, lovers. It's under Dona's early description, before it updates to a later one.
As for how I make of the team . . . huh. I'm really not sure. Dona's definitely got the brains, and Barthello's definitely got the brawns. Could be a pretty good mix.
Right, then. I'll consider them FF's answer to Lori & Bolo (remember them, Bob?), which means F6, at the very least, or even F5, unless Barthello really screws things up like Bolo did.

Yeah, they could be a good mix, the flaw of my statistics is that is averages everything out, when in reality, a good team must be diverse, with both teamates contributing in their own specific way, and two is always better than one. I can see Dona & Barthello making it to fourth place, like Steiner and Beatrix, that, or an early screw-up that was unforeseeable, kind of like with Rinoa & Squall (I guess...), though, they may end up like Raijin & Fujin. Oh well, whatever the result, they are a skilled team, Can't wait to see how they fare. By the way Bob, this is shooting for way far into the future, but consider my list for Season 3. by the way, love the one line paragraphs Dale

I see two to three lines in my window.

Of course I remember Lori and Bolo. They drank BLOOOOOOOD. Mmm mmm blood. Good for the umm, heart.
We'll see how far they make it. I was kinda surprised to see them as the second strongest team according to nobodyspecial's stats... Of course, they SHOULD be a strong team...
I put a lot of the teams mentioned into consideration, but a good portion of them I: a. Already considered b. Didn't think had a strong enough relationship c. All of the above
Besides, a few of your teams ARE in Season 2. Reno/Rude. Dona/Barthello. Umm, Garnet is in there, just not with Eiko...
Heh, not sure if you're jokin' about the one-line paragraphs thing, but I sure do like the short paragraphs, even if only one line. It's how I write on the forum too (if you haven't noticed). I separate by topic so that it's easy to read.
By the way... Dale? You're Amazing Race guru. I'm gonna try to be super-nerd here, so what time does TAR typically air? Tuesdays at 9pm? I wanna get a weekly update day prepared and if I'm picking a time and place, it may as well be as nerdy as possible.

Yeah I noticed, it's just that they stood out more at that time. I also occasionally like to separate paragraphs by topics, but not all the time. Well I guess my computer is just like... good then, but Bob is using a Shcool Computer for Internet, and not everybody saves their birthday money for a good computer on their 9th birthday or so, but whatever point is that there is no point. (Sorry, bad wording, Dale's post stood out more than your posts normally do, you usually have mostly two line topics).
Reno & Rude are in there, Dona & Barthello were a team that was narrowed down, and Garnet is in fact technically in there, though that spot originally belonged to Vivi, but was edited. The teams I really liked were Blank & Marcus, Scarlet & Heidegger, Tidus & Wakka, and Reno & Rude, pretty much in that order (I think so anyway). So, I do appreciate Reno & Rude, but that was a given I think. Well Season 3 is pretty far off, so I don't think It's much of an issue at the moment.
By the way, my FFVIII Walkthrough is going pretty good, but I don't wanna brag. Basically in comparison with another Walkthrough, I know it'll turn out amazing. However if you want I could elaborate, I gotta say, I've outdone myself, even by my high standards.

Heh, actually I use my laptop for internet, it's just that I have to use my school's wireless. BUT I found a loophole in the system, namely that our neighbors have internet AND an unsecured wireless router, so I'm totally stealing internet until ours is up.... Dang, I need to call and ask the internet company WTF's up with our internet..... and I was so proud to have internet on my desktop finally.... *sniffle* *tear*
That's good about the walkthrough. Hopefully it all continues to go smoothly.

Bob, the show originally aired on Wednesdays at either 8 or 9 for seasons one to three. It moved to Tuesdays at 9 for seasons four through eight and the first five episodes of season nine (from John & Scott to Danielle & Dani's eliminations). It moved back to Wednesdays at 8 for the rest of the season (Dave & Lori's elimination to the Hippies' win). If you wanna go by current air time, it moved to Sundays at 8 for seasons ten and eleven.
Hope that helps you!
And FFR (for future reference), I'm really only a location, winner, cast, and boot order expert, not so much air times).

I think a good time would be 8:00 PM on a Sunday, that time was never used, but That leaves the weekend for it, and with spare time to go over it, or for people to read it, cause the end of the weekend is usually when everybody checks for an update the most. Unless you have work or class at that time, it think it'd be a good choice.
