END is the most versatile stat, especially with the goalie bonuses. If you can hold the ball, then get some sort of bonus from the goalie, then you're pretty golden. I consider high END when I create defenders, but forwards have a hard time stripping the ball from guys with high END.
On the Grizzlies, my three primary forwards (Orlandu, Sazh, and Zangan) all have different styles. I won't say which one's which, but they all are different power forwards, focusing primarily on different packages.

Round 3...FIGHT!
**********Round 4 Stamina**********

Marlboro Mayhem Brother=4 Tidus=3 Zack=7 Cloud=10 Rufus=4 Shinra=7 Ashe=2 Baralai=10
Results:
I'll tell ya, the SM7 vs MAR was pretty amusing at first. Jecht vs Tidus, father vs son. Oh, and then Ashe joined in. Whatevs.
Couple of stompings this round. Grizzlies laid down the law, as did the Marlboros. The Experiments only won by two, but seriously, if you read it, they dominated, too.
MAG vs NS, now THAT was a good match. Missiles looked like they had it on easy street at first, but then NS made a big come back. Was it enough? Uh, no. Missiles get a win! Woo!
Mercs and Shades still are win-less, but hey, they were both silent killers last tournament, so maybe they're trying to pull a repeat of last time?
Get me line-ups by...let's say Thursday. If I can get that game simmed on time, we might be able to return to our regular Sunday/Wednesday thing. We got off to a bad start this league, so it's time to get back on track.
But like, EARLY Thursday. So like, line-ups by Wednesday night. Ya? Ya.

Seifer is a good upset player. My players got stuck midfield and he went all Gandolf on the MARBs. None shall pass!! It took a goalie bonus at the right time to move the ball far enough away the Seifer couldn't get a hand on it.
I was really surprised with the way the DMD vs Grizz turned out. Angeal, normally a powerhouse shooter, just couldn't muster up enough oomph to get the ball consistently in the goal. Maybe he needs to take a game off to work on his personal problems.

Round 4 is simmed! Get me line-ups for Sunday's matches--I'll try to sim 'em early! Thanks for getting me the Round 4 data promptly!

Mercenaries Lani=1 Amarant=8 Ba'Gamnan=10 Gafgarion=8 Tseng=10 Elena=6 Rude=4 Worker 8=6
Results!
MAR vs MAG: Well, Magics scored first, so that's something! But then Tidus's chivalry was trumped by his hatred for losing. Once he starting beating the crap out of those girls, the Marlboros began to dominate, and dominate they did. Ouch.
NS vs GB: The Grizzlies got off to an awkward start when replacement-center Tellah took a potshot that went south. Luckily, the forwards recovered and kept the point, but for the first half of the game, the Grizzlies were pretty awkward with Illua and Reno tearing them up. Then in the second half, Auron slapped some sense into those boys and got them into shape. Intense first half, but second half was all tragedy for the Shades.
SM7 vs MRC: This game was a rumble! First half ended with only a single point scored and only maybe two shots on goal (too lazy to go back and check). The whole game was just fighting, but SM7 was smart. See, the Mercs start fighting and eventually forget that there was even a game to play. SM7 squeaked in a few points here and there and the Mercs lost before they even knew what had happened. Good job, SM7.
TME vs DMD: Rin started off the game well for their team with two uncontested, check-out-my-END-and-did-I-mention-my-SHT points. From there, it was a decent game...well, until Rin got another 3 or 4 points (again, too lazy to blah blah). Rin FTW. Oh, I mean Diamonds. Yeah, there were a few more guys on the field I guess.

Round 5 is up! ...minus one game. SM7 had a problem, so that'll be simmed as soon as possible. But otherwise...
**********Round 6 Stamina**********
Grizzly Bears Orlandu=10 Sazh=8 Zangan=4 Auron=6 Duncan=3 Galuf=5 Tellah=10 Unei=8
The Mad Experiments Odine=4 Hojo=2 The Mask=7 Kuja=10 Celes=6 No. 288=10 Deling=0 Julius=4

Sublimely Magnificent 7 Jecht=7 Balthier=0 Seifer=10 Cid Highwind=8 Edge=10 Edgar=5 Laguna=4 Snow=6
Results:
GB vs TME: I really can't tell if TME threw the game or not...? Deling in goal was an odd choice, but still, the Bears didn't win by THAT much, so maybe it was strategy? *shrug* Either way, Bears won it.
NS vs MAR: Now THIS was a nailbiter. I don't even want to spoil it. Just go read through this match. The worst team playing the best and...holy heck was it a close game!
MAG vs MRC: This was a funny game because the teams are so different. It starts out with Gaf plowing in a goal. Then the girls get it, pass around and get in a shot. Yay Missiles! And then, Gaf gets it and PLOWS it in again. Repeat this process. A lot. Eventually, the Mercs hit enough girls and got their first win of the season! Woohoo!
SM7 vs DMD: TBA
Get those line-ups in for Wednesday's match-up! Gettin' close to the end of the league already!

Wow, that was a really close game. It came down to the last few seconds to break the tie. Fujin is a brawler, keeping the ball far away from MAR's shooters.
Cloud and Fujin have it out for each other. It looks like they might be a similar build.
*Spoiler*
It came down to Fujin being tired out and missing a vital pass from Brother to Ashe. Ashe relaying it to a completely wide-open Baralai who traveled 9 spaces, encounter free, and dunked it 5 seconds before the buzzer.
I call it luck. If Cloud couldn't through a pass over Fujin, then Brother must have done something wiley to make his pass successful FTW.

Yeah, I can just picture that pass to Baralai. Wide open, one on one with the goalie. Absolutely crazy game, that one.
DMD vs SM7 has been simmed. It...was weird. For some reason, SM7 really wanted Cid to have it, but he can't shoot. He got right up in the goal a couple times, but couldn't do anything with it. Turned over the ball way too much from Cid. They definitely hurt this game from not having Edge.

This next game between the MARBs and GRIZZLEs is important. Both teams are undefeated! I'm excited for the turnout!

Okay, we kinda messed up on timing that one. Late line-ups held us up, but we've got the info, so let's sim it! Next round on Wednesday. FINAL round on Wednesday! Time to finish this league up and see who wins it!
**********Round 7 Stamina**********
Marlboro Mayhem Brother=6 Tidus=8 Zack=10 Cloud=2 Rufus=7 Shinra=4 Ashe=5 Baralai=10
Grizzly Bears Orlandu=7 Sazh=6 Zangan=1 Auron=4 Duncan=1 Galuf=4 Tellah=10 Unei=10
Sublimely Magnificent 7 Jecht=4 Balthier=10 Seifer=8 Cid Highwind=6 Edge=7 Edgar=4 Laguna=10 Snow=4
The Mad Experiments Odine=1 Hojo=0 The Mask=4 Kuja=8 Celes=10 No. 288=9 Deling=10 Julius=2
Mercenaries Lani=7 Amarant=5 Ba'Gamnan=6 Gafgarion=4 Tseng=4 Elena=10 Rude=10 Worker 8=9
Nightshades Blank=4 Illua=7 Fujin=10 Chime=4 Mira=8 Llednar=8 Reno=10 Desch=2
The Magic Missiles Rydia=1 Garnet=8 Rinoa=4 Aeris=10 Yuna=6 Lulu=4 Selphie=10 Vanille=2
Highwind Diamonds Seymour Guado=7 Angeal=4 Vincent=10 Wakka=10 Biggs=6 Macgregor=8 Guinness=4 Rin=4
Round 6 Results:
MAG vs DMD: Started as an intense game! Back and forth with the girls of the Missiles working well together. But then, in the end of the first and all of the second half, the men of the Diamonds started asserting their power. Rin and Angeal (mostly Rin) sunk shot after shot, dominating for their team.
MRC vs NS: The battle for last place is on! Two of the bottom 3 teams went at it, NS hoping to finally put a win on their record. Both teams went at it with their power shooters and strong defenders, but with a critical game-changing shot from Lani in the first half and Gafgarion essentially scoring from center every time he grabbed the ball, the Mercs held onto a lead, keeping NS win-less. One game to go, NS!
SM7 vs TME: Another crucial match since they are potential candidates for third place, but the loser would be out of the running. SM7 began using Seifer's new strategy at the center: "hit the person with the ball, pass it to a good shooter, and if the pass is blocked, then repeat" strategy. The whole game was on Seifer's shoulders. Did he deliver? Well, Edgar contributed with an INCREDIBLE save in the second half that would've tied (two incredible saves, actually), and yes, it paid off! SM7 wins it and is one of the two teams vying for third!
MAR vs GB: And now, the match everyone has been waiting for (...or maybe just Rich and I). The showdown between the two undefeated teams: Marlboros and Bears. The results? Not as dramatic as I'd like. Sazh fell asleep out there and was trampled by Tidus and Ashe, who led their team to a 6-3 victory. The Bears' lack of heavy hitters on the front lines made it too hard to steal the ball, costing them the game (and likely the title for this league).
Going into the final round, this is what we have happening:
-The Marlboros...well, they have the win. Even if the Mercenaries take them down in the final round, they have such a goal differential advantage over the Bears that it'd take an extremely crushing victory for the Bears and against the Marlboros for them to fall out of first place.
-The Grizzly Bears need to win or even tie the next round to score second place. If they don't, then the Diamonds and/or SubMags will need to kick some ASS to up the goal differential and take second. With Angeal and Edge though, that's definitely possible.
-If the SubMags beat the Grizzlies, they will still likely miss the top three because of their goal differentials (should the Diamonds beat the Shades, but I'm getting to that). They'd need a crushing defeat to be considered, as well as a defeat of the Diamonds, since SubMags have a GD of 9 and Diamonds have a GD of 11 and Grizzlies have a GD of 17.
-The Nightshades have little stake in this personally, since at best they could tie for last. However! Should they defeat the Diamonds and the SubMags defeat the Bears in what I'll call "Upset City," it'll knock the Diamonds out of the top three completely. Unlikely? We'll see! How well did the Nightshades do in the league last season versus the tournament last season? Hmmm. Don't count them out!

In MARB vs GRizzzzLE, both teams were out for blood. Both teams scored within the first minute.
I noticed a weird play where Galuf caught a shot and then Auron fumbled the ball when the goalie passed it back in. Actually, that happened a couple of times. Both ended in quick rebounds by Rufus.
The fumble cost the GRZ a point.
At half time, the GRZ come back swinging and put one in at :22 seconds!
A few back and forth points are scored by some high flinging Centers, and then the last three minutes, they all set aside the game and spend the rest of the game trying to nail each other out of the pool.

Never any love for TME in scenarios/recaps... Could it be... Bob, I'm not the only one who can see them, right?
Anyone?

I try to stay generally non-biased in recaps, but I do read my own much more in depth than others. Plus, the big reason it may seem biased against TME is that they play such a strange play-style. They've been a lot more consistent as of late, but I generally learn who is a good defense, striker, whatever, but I really have no idea on TME. They mix things up so frequently, I generally just don't know what to say Will sim games shortly!
