Wow! No one's posted here for so long! I'll just throw mine in!
I'm pretty much alone, but my favorite is Steiner and Beatrix. Yeah, they're a little lovey-dovey, but like on the real show, that's a good way to do well as a team. They pretty much have the best teamwork, and they're the only characters Bob stayed 100% true to, in terms of their overall personalities. Plus, they've proven to be the strongest team thus far, finishing at the top of the pack more times than others have.
Yuna and Rikku are my second favorite team. I love women's teams on the real show, and I love them on this. I want them to win if Steiner and Beatrix don't. Although I'm very much appalled that Bob turned them into total ditzes in this race.
I like Amarant and Lani and hope they're around for awhile. Shinra and Rufus are really funny. Edgar and Sabin and Strago and Relm are fun, too. I was shocked to see both FFVI teams fall in quick succession. I liked Tifa and Paine and was shocked that they lost the second leg after winning the first one. Jenova and Sephiroth and Squall and Rinoa were really the only teams I was just "meh" about. I'm probably in the minority about Auron and Jecht, though. They're total jerks in this race -- not the way they'd act in the game. They are clearly being set up as the villains of this race.
I'll close this off with one request for Bob -- please finish this race up! I've gotta see what happens next! These stories are very engaging! But please -- if you MUST Gippaliminate (to coin a term) Steiner and Beatrix, PLEASE wait until the final five or, better yet, final four to do it!

I love Steiner and Beatrix as well. And yeah, they're probably one of the few teams I've stayed true to, though I dunno if that's good or bad since I like to take liberties with personalities.
Heh, as far as turning Yuna and Rikku into ditzes, well.... FFX-2, man... I know I took them over the top, but that's how I roll. I like taking personality traits and taking them over the top. Makes for more fun. Sorry if you're appaled by this.
I have a lot of fun with all the characters, and I dunno if I've said it on the forum or anything before, but I don't do requests for keeping teams around because well, I don't eliminate the teams. Or Gippaliminate (I like that term; shows a true Amazing Race fan). But like I've told people before in private, I usually go in with an idea of who will be cut, but sometimes that's proven wrong. For example, the second leg was supposed to eliminate Strago and Relm, not Tifa and Paine. I have zero control of who gets cut.
Anyway, thanks for posting all this stuff about AFFR. It just might be the motivation I need to start writing again. I've been caught up with school things and a bunch of real life issues, but I have a break here, so I'll do my best to keep on rollin' on the AFFR. Or hell, even on just the site in general.

Yes, it is now verifiable truth: spam causes the growth of legs in excess of seven---yes, a seven-legged mutation, all because of spam!!!
Anyway, looking forward to AFFR---I love it and miss it.

So far, I'm liking what's going on in episode seven's continuation! Keep it up! And I hope to God that my favorite, Steiner and Beatrix, survive this leg! Please let them survive!

Yay! Steiner and Beatrix finally won a leg!
But BOOOOOOOO! Fujin and Raijin lost when Auron and Jecht deserved to lose more! I will say, though, that that was a very classy exit on their part. And that's two people who don't even know the meaning of class!

Okay, Steiner and Beatrix, as much as I love them, are actually starting to grate on me on this leg. And I don't know which is doing it more -- him or her. Bob, if this is foreshadowing of events to come, my reaction is not gonna pretty, I'll tell you that.

Good early show from Auron and Jecht. Put a lot of things in perspective about all the eliminations they caused.

I Miss Steiner & Beatrix... Amarant & Lani don't deserve to stay when Steiner & Beatrix get kick off... : (
Don't get me wrong, I like Amarant & Lani, but not more than Beatrix and Steiner. I also like Squall & Rinoa (Though eliminated), Raijin & Fujin (Though Eliminated), Jetch & Auron (Though Eliminated), Yuna & Rikku, and I don't mind Rufus & Shinra, they're a good laugh. I liked Paine & Tifa, but I knew they wouldn't last, also I just read Ep. 10, great episode so far, I was really waiting for the FF9 world!

I quite like that they finally went to an FF world again after not being there since episode two. But man, I keep thinking, Steiner and Beatrix are gonna be really sorry they missed this, knowing this next leg was in their home world. So I guess you caved on the "home-court advantage" thing after all.
