Okay, time to post up these poll questions now. As Season 4 nears the All-Star cut-off, let's look back at past seasons. Like with Fallen-Stars, you can vote for as many as you'd like, but if you pick 'em all, that doesn't really help me.
I will add that I'm close to finalizing the All-Stars (minus Season 4), but I'd like to see if my picks are similar to yours, plus I might reconsider picks based on this. Just for fun, comment if you'd like.

Once again, I picked four. This time, it had to be the F3 -- Reina & Faris, Dona & Barthello, and Ma & Zell -- and Fran & Balthier.
Reina & Faris are the original winning women's team, and they were one of three teams to make it to the end when, at the outset, NO ONE on this board that they would. Sure, they weren't as flashy or exciting as most other teams, but they had their own entertainment factor to them that I enjoyed. Plus, they were the one team who seemed to have the best all-around skills at the race and were the most easily adaptable team to the situations that arose. Just for being the only winning all-female team, though, I think they should definitely come back.
Like Reina & Faris, Dona & Barthello reached the end when no one expected them to. And while they did start out weak, they followed Yuna & Rikku's similar path and got stronger as the race wore on. Plus, unlike Auron & Jecht, they were a villain team who was actually competent. So I wouldn't mind them returning again. Though it'd depend on whether or not Dona would want to come back.
Ma & Zell, like the previous two teams, were another team who made it to the F3 when no one else thought they would initially. This season has my favorite F3 because three underdog teams made it to the end. Not only were Ma & Zell incredibly good racers, but they were also just plain fun to read about. Wouldn't mind a reappearance from them.
Fran & Balthier were a team who should've made that F3, bar none, and it's infuriating that not only did they fail, but they even left before a certain other incompetent team that'll be listed below. So I think they deserve some redemption in the form of a second chance to reach the end.
I said no on Zone & Watts because while they were also good racers, their only real entertainment factor came from Zone's "stomachaches." Oh, and his fear of stampedes. But other than that . . . meh. And I think you all know my position on Biran & Yenke. But in case you don't, here it is to Bob and Fleck, their two biggest defenders: Yes, they had great physical strength, but THAT WAS ALL THEY HAD. This race is also about mental and social skills, and basic race smarts, in general, like knowing how and when to use delays, and they failed on ALL THREE OF THOSE COUNTS. This board will get very, very unpleasant if I see them back. Their schtick ran its course around F7 or F6, and I really don't wanna have to bear it again.

My picks:
Reina/Faris because hell, let's go with all the winners. The worst thing you can do, I think, would be to include only one or two winner teams. That puts way too much pressure on those teams and makes them fairly easy targets for the rest of the teams. Whereas if you include 3 or 4 winners, then you have a solid block of teams that are harder to dislodge and focus on. The race takes on a different personality the more winners you include. You also get the chance to include debates like, "should we have an all-winners alliance, or are the other winners too strong and should we eliminate them?" There's just more to work with, I think, when you have a lot of winners on the field.
Ma and Zell because they were great together and fun to read. Also I think Ma would be looking for some redemption after losing the final leg due to injury. That kind of stuff ALWAYS leaves people wanting to come back again.
And Fran and Balthier because damn it, they should have won. I was rooting for them from the start and I'd like to root for them again.
I skipped Dona and Barthello because I don't really think there's anywhere new to go with the characters. You can either play them as a villain team again, in which case they'd basically just run the same race they did last time, or you can have them turn over a new leaf, in which case why even bother bringing them back? While I would like to see more villain teams, I don't think Dona/Barthello is the way to go.
Same for Biran/Yenke. They'd basically just be the same racers in All-Stars. Granted, having a pair of dumb muscleheads could play into strategy, as other, smarter teams look to manipulate them, but like Amarant/Lani, I think the joke is played out. They were fun while they lasted, but that's about it.
And no to Zone/Watts because to hell with those two.

Yet another surprise, Fleck. Knew you'd say yes to Ma & Zell and Fran & Balthier. Thought you'd say yes to Biran & Yenke and no to Reina & Faris, though. So I'm in shock that you went the other way around with each. Interesting votes.
