My apologies. I appear to be a bit late. Regardless, Happy Birthday!

I am SOOOOO late so think of this more as a really early birthday wish for next year!
Oh shit, but then what about THIS year? UHm. Crap. What? Happy Birthday! I said that a long time ago this year but you know... internet lag. I blame Willie.

WHY do we have to go back a full YEAR in forum dates to revive old birthday threads!? It makes no sense!
But happy birthday, to the number one TGPer! Well, if I count, then I might be number one, but you're definitely somewhere between #1 and #2. We'll say #1.23.
I have a birthday update in the mix that'll come today if Moses can part the red seas of my disease...but otherwise tomorrow. But still, it'll come! I've been terribly sick the past three days (not including today), so I'm behind schedule, but I WILL DO IT! FOR YOUUUUUU!
Happy birthday. Have a good 'un!

Fleckenman! I hope you're doing well! I've been looking on aim periodically recently for you - I'd be thrilled to catch up a bit!
Oh, and Happy Birthday!

Thanks, Onlyfriends (that's your collective name now)! I am indeed doing well. My dad took me out to an Ethiopian restaurant today, which was interesting to say the least. I had this really good red sauce stuff with lentils in it, I think, but I can't remember what it was called. I recommend it if any of you guys go eat Ethiopian. Just ask for, "that red stuff Fleck had." They'll know what you mean.
Anyway, thanks again. Although Bob gets NO THANKS WHATSOEVER until I get an update.
NO! THANKS! TILL BROOKLYN!

So Ethiopian has good vegetarian food then? Worth seeking it out or should I jus wait until I run into some place some day in twenty years?

I'd say it's worth seeking out, yes. The place I went to had a decently sized vegetarian section, and an all-vegetarian buffet. I can't guarantee that every Ethiopian place will have that, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something you can eat.

Never heard of an Ethiopian restaurant! Didn't know they had their own special cuisine. Sounds interesting though. Also: Happy birthday! It's just gone midnight here, but across the pond it's still saturday, right? So I'm not technically late

(Actually, his birthday was Friday. Shhhh. But we can probably jedi him into thinking it was Saturday.)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopian_cuisineIt's very unique. The image Wiki shows describes it pretty well. You tear of chunks of thin "Injera" which is kinda like pita bread, but much thinner and doesn't taste the same at all, and you pinch up the food paste stuff. It doesn't really look appealing, but if you just pretend that it's like chips and dip, it's good.

Whatever fit-fit is, looks fucking appetising! Also injera looks nice, although I can see the bread running out before the paste does.
In semi-related news, this week I went to a pub/restaurant in my local town which sells kangaroo, crocodile, camel, horse, and all other manner of weird meats in steak format. I didn't even know we had pubs that sold that stuff! I had mouflon, and it's very tasty. Like a richer lamb.

Helluva a long trip for that kangaroo meat to make.
The weirdest meat I ever had was bear. Consuming the flesh of a bear is why I'm such an unstoppable badass.

Happy early birthday, Fleck! I might be around tomorrow, but it seems Dean has elected to be a November baby. Contractions have begun (they kinda did last night, in fact). I'm predicting he will be a 29th birthday, but there IS the chance that he chose your birthday. Probably out of spite. I'm hoping for today though. Then his birthday will be alllll prime numbers. Well, if you count his year as "13" and not "2013" because 2013 isn't prime.
I'm hoping to get an update for you soon, but it won't be on your birthday at the very least. Operation "Sure, I can post the first part of AFFR even if I don't have the next part written because I can totally get it done before the baby arrives" is looking like it'll backfire.
Anyway, happy birthday! You are old. Update in the works. The end.
