I use the wiki as well on occasion. Amy directed me to it.

To bloodfestbutterfly and countlieberkuhn-- watching only a bit of Final Fantasy: Unlimited unfortunately can be deceptive. The show only starts getting really, really good more towards the second half and especially towards the ending.

Well, I'm still interested in it, Agent, I just haven't got it to watch...
Wyvern: So characters do that to you too? Tricky little things, aren't they?

Oh - For reference, this is how I designed the uniform before adding all those effects to it and such: wyvern.goatpen.org/pics/uniformorig.jpgI found a neat site that lets you design pretty awesome team uniforms...

Yunalesca was a bitch to kill, but luckily in my first playthrough (and in my first playthrough of a game I never use a walkthrough) I had snagged deathproof (or maybe deathward) armor from the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth and just so happened to have some equipped to my characters at the time of fighting her, twas mega lucky, and in every playthrough since I've done that. In my most recent playthrough though, I freakin' toyed with her. I had finished everyone's individual portion of the sphere grid by then, and Tidus/Rikku had been half done going backwards through each other's portions. Needless it was marvelous to crank out 9999 damage a piece to her medusa ass every turn.
What's actually always been tougher for me in that game was that serpent thing at the end of the cloister of trials, I forget its name. That thing is a bitch, it does up to like 2000 damage to as many as three guys at the same time and then berserks them so you can't heal or whatever. Sure it;s easier with a good strategy and if you keep your guys moving, buts its still damn hard for me, Holy helps marvelously though.
I didn't actually know about FFwiki until it was brought up for the first time here. Though since then I've edited some articles and read through tons more. its definitely a useful resource. I've never heard of FF:Unlimited though, I'll have to check that out once I get back.

FFX has some really fun sidequests and loads of extra content, and the sphere grid is a satisfying levelling up system. Only problem is, the sidequests were so tough and required so much levelling that by the time you were done, the last bosses were so easy that it wasn't even funny. When fighting Sin - *uses Wakka's attack reels* 99,999dmg x 12 = insant win!
Wakka's probably the most powerful charater in the history of final fantasy with that...

Heh, yeah, I played some blitzball in my first playthrough, so I had Attack Reels no problem, and every boss fight, Wakka was my go-to guy.
NS, wasn't that monster you're talking about the one you can just chuck a phoenix down at and kill him? I never like the instant kill bosses, but still, at least he has an easy way out...

Yeah, is that the thing in via infinito or whatever its called, under Bevelle? Zombie bosses are always a bit easy really. I think zombie bosses should have a 'life-proof' thing on them, so you can't just one-hit them with a life spell or pheonix down, but they're still susceptible to cure spells and holy magic. It'd mean you'd actually have to fight at least

bloodfest -- I checked out the official ADV release from the library. Don't know if that's an option for you, though.

Maybe...they're having budget discussions in the library system at the moment. The governer proposed a 50% budget cut, possibly on top of the 20% already being cut...thankfully it didn't pass, but we're in hot water at the moment. I'm especially worried since my mom's a librarian, sooo, yeaaah. At least she wouldn't get canned even if it had passed.

Evrae was easy, the phoenix down strategy or whatever works easily on him. Nah I'm talking about the boss (I think its named Spectral Keeper or something) that you fight immediately after finishing the Zanarkand Cloister of Trials. You fight him on those weird glyphs.

Ohh, the guy with the back counter, forward slashy attack, and the bombs! Yeah, he was kinda tricky. It always sucked when you had like, Auron, Lulu, and maybe an Auron-built Kimarhi out, cuz they're all slow and he actually might HIT one of them with those bombs... And it sucked when you needed to move your guys, but couldn't...
