I was always working more with the 'rolling' concept. In a downhill footrace, Brahne would win SO good by just rolling. And yes, Garnet tucked in her fat.

yeah, that would work too, up in the case of uphill...

Eighth place on the first leg? Very unimpressive.
But I'm worried that they were the only team to get a confessional at the beginning of the second episode. They're either a.) winning the leg, b.) losing the leg, or c.) just jumping out of eighth place. We'll see.

They barely survived leg two, which is good.
Even better, they jump all the way from next-to-last to second place! Great improvement, though I'd have liked a win by them. Still, they did pretty well in episode three, so kudos, ladies!

I love Garnet being a member of the team though I'd have much rather have had Zidane and Garnet or Eiko and Garnet opposed to her and her mother. Brahne I just plain hate, she's fat, ugly and stupid, and really I only see her as being a burden. She only brings Garnet down. On the other hand, Garnet is excellent a racer enough that even with t hat burden she ought to be able to make it far. Had it been Garnet and somebody else, I'd have seen F4 or maybe even F3, but for now I'm gonna say they will eliminated sometime in the middle. Would be sad to see them go though, Big FF9 fan.

Oh, yeah! I forgot to note their rise to second place! It was a very good leg. Yeah, they got a lucky handout from Reno & Rude, who thought they were weak, but they did their best to show they're a lot stronger as a team than the Turks had thought, which is great!
But yes, I'm still scratching my head that Bob stuck Garnet with her fat, out-of-shape mother and not her boyfriend, Zidane, or her closest, non-Zidane friend in the party, Eiko. But then, at six years old, Eiko would probably too young (and Bob once told me, over a year ago, the youngest age a contestant could be was ten or eleven, which last season's Relm was).
I hated FF9 Brahne, but Bob's take on her has really entertained me, so at least for that, she can stay.
I'm risking a lot by saying this, because I can totally see Bob taking it into account. Here's hoping their money problems (since they gave it all up to get the chocobos) doesn't come back to bite them on the next leg.

Haha you know it actually mentions in Final Fantasy IX almost directly that Zidane is only 12 years old. I think it kind of funny to see that Zidane is 4 years younger than Garnet is.
As for the money problems I don't think he would even have remembered that had you not mentioned it, though now I can imagine an elimination due to no money. But they ought to receive money for the next leg so I don't quite see the problem.

Yeah I'm not sure how they missed that. During that whole Garland scene where he exposes the truth he mentions something along the lines of "12 years ago another in Bran Bal received the gift of life, that was you." Or something to that extent.

By the way, I was reading the FF wiki and read why you're wrong about Zidane being 12. Zidane was sent to Gaia 12 years ago... But he was 4 when it happened.... Go math! finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Zidane_Tribal

Hmm? where does it say that he was 4?
"It is revealed that Zidane began his life as an "Angel of Death" created by Garland. Long ago, the people of a planet named Terra realized that their world would soon collapse on itself and they would be destroyed. As they had done several times before, they planned to save their civilization through the assimilation of another planet, Gaia. The people of Terra left their physical bodies and locked their souls in Castle Pandemonium to be watched over by Garland, who was given the task of removing the souls of Gaia's "cycle of souls" and replacing them with Terra's. Garland began to synthesize humanoid vessels calles Genomes that would recieve the souls of the Terrans once they were awakened from their slumber. To expedite the endeavor of draining Gaia of its inhabitants, Garland gave a soul to a new Genome and named him Kuja. Kuja would be Garland's "Angel of Death", sent to Gaia to cause immense unrest and death. Kuja's will, however, was too much for Garland's tastes. A limit was placed on Kuja's life, and another improved Genome was created who would eventually replace him. This Genome was Zidane.
Kuja, infuriated by Garland's decision to create another, more powerful Genome, immediately deposited Zidane on Gaia. Young Zidane, completely unaware of his mission, ended up in Lindblum where he was raised by Baku as a member of the Tantalus band of thieves and only remembering one thing of his childhood years: a blue light. "
That's the entire section on his birth, it says nothing of his age. Yet in the game it mentioned the he was sent 12 years ago. But It clearly says Kuja immediately deposited him onto Gaia. I'm rather sure 'immediately" doesn't refer to 4 years later.

Well, it doesn't say, but I'm imagining that's where the 4 years comes from. Since he's officially 16, it must mean that Kuja took 4 years to learn that Zidane was his replacement and "immediately" deposited him on Gaia after learning it... I mean, you're right about the immediately, but I think the game is holding off on certain bits of information. Since Square has determined him to be 16, then something happened in that 4 years that we weren't told of... So I assume Kuja didn't learn of his "replacement" right away... Kuja IS slow...

Yeah I suppose so, man, it took him 4 years? hmm well then again aren't genomes born in those cryro-statis cells in that lab and grow to maturity there? I don't know how long that process is but perhaps those 4 yeas were spent in there. Or maybe Garland just gave him a soul after 4 years opposed to right away, and once he had a soul Kuja dropped him off on Gaia. Oh well... guess there's no way to really find out for sure.

Yeah, who knows.... I'm going with the idea that he was in that cryo-stasis cell for 4 years and Kuja didn't know that particular random Genome was infused with a soul... Then again, since Zidane had no memory of Terra (well, not much anyway), he might've gotten the soul after 4 years in a tube, then Kuja was like "Hey WTF!?" and threw him onto Gaia.

Yeah that's probably the most likely thing that could have happened.
