Game: Final Fantasy IX Status: Heroine/Major NPC Strengths: Strong leadership. Combination of compassion and aggression. Weaknesses: Impulsiveness. Brahne. Role: Garnet escaped from the clutches of her power-hungry stepmother (the queen of Alexandria) and journeyed to save the world. Brahne, a once kind woman, was consumed by power and sought to control the world.

Hmm. Seems like a Rufus-Shinra type team, but I definately don't think it'll be anywhere near as successful, unfortunately (well, I never liked Brahne, but I'm always a fan of the IXs)...

Well, I did want Garnet to be a partof it,, but Brahne I'm not too sure, they are incredibly diverse for a team statistically wise, which made my statistic evaluation a bitch, but they do seem like a team that I could picture in the AFFR. They may be the type of team that need make a comback though, They are kind of like a Rufus-Shinra type team, but they seem more like an Amarant & Lani team, you know, solo, possibly disagreeing, inconsiderate perhaps, I don't really know, but as I love saying: They'll be an interesting team, lack of a better phrase. I'm also intrigued to see how Bob will write Brahne, shes the type of character you could manipulate and warp the personality of and have them still remain themselves, like with Lani and Shinra, Shinra more than Lani, Yuna & Rikku don't count, Square-Enix did that to them.
I still wanna try and persuade you Bob to think of adding Scarlet & Heidegger and most definitely adding Blank & Marcus, They are exactly the kind of teams AFFRS2 needs, just wrap the idea of them up in your head for a day or two, they really are a good team, and not just cause I really want them in, they really honest to god would do well, or maybe not even well but would be a good laugh for awhile. Also one more thing, Wyvern made his own statistics, since you are the writer in all, I think you might wanna make your own statistics for a team, the more point of views I can get, then the more accurate I can make the statistics.

I think it'd be a bit difficult for Bob to have to write his own statistics sheet up while remaining objective and also while remaining open to any of the possibilities in the story---he writes at least partly on spontaneous variable, and I think that might be hindered if he were to do a stats thing. I'd be interested in what Fleck thinks though...

Yeah I kind of figured someone might feel that way, I really wasn't too sure about posting it when I did. Fleck certainly would make an interesting statistics sheet though, but I dunno if he's up to it...

And Bob puts them totally on the wrong side. Figures.

I wouldn't bother writing a numerical stat sheet for fictitous characters. I would, however, discuss the various strengths and weaknesses in characters in general terms, but using numbers seems too... serious for a fan fiction.
How well Garnet/Brahne do is entirely dependent on how much of a hinderance Brahne is to Garnet. Who knows, maybe Brahne might not be such a bad racer. At first I thought Shinra would totally drag Rufus into an early elimination, but hell they won, so screw my preconceived notions.
While it's feasible that this team could pull off another Shinra/Rufus surprise, I still doubt it. Brahne is far more out of shape, more emotional, and (perhaps) more dimwitted than Shinra. Also they lack the camaraderie that helped make S/R winners. I don't forsee this team getting far into the race. The way I see it, the only way they can survive ANY legs of this race is if other teams do worse/screw up more often than they do. Given that, I'd say they will most likely get cut in the first three rounds.

Well I did give the Garnet/Eiko team a red, and Brahne instead of Eiko is most likely not an improvement, Statistically they are surprisingly good, but its true that in most scenarios they would not do well. I like numerical statistics though, I can see an accurate display or measurement of their abilities.

Hello! Parent (or, in this case, stepparent) should be on the left side, and child (or stepchild) on the right. Child before parent just seems improper.

Well damn, now that you put it that way, I realize Bob has committed a crime against humanity. 'Figures'. Damn you Bob! Damn you and your incompetence!

Don't worry, I'm on it. I'll break something non-vital on bob's body (so he can still write). That'll teach him!

Forgot to throw in my prediction, I think. One of the first three out. I don't think Brahne can take the physical aspect the race, although I think Garnet might be able to carry her through for awhile.

Yeah, I can kind of see that happening... but here's my comical alternative to it: -
Brahne is thought to be incredibly fat and sluggish, but who's to say all that fat is really fat, maybe it's actually muscle. I mean, on the way back to Cleyra she seemed to figure out Zidane & co. reached Garnet and so she sped her fat@#$ to Alexandria some 15 minutes before she was supposed to. When Bahamut shot a mega flare at her, she was able to suddenly 'teleport' to her escape pod, which just so happened to be a boat the size of her actual boat. My explanation is that she is soooo fat, sooo gargantuan, sooo colossal, that she can store boundless energy in her fat@#$, then she can use all that energy up like a Planet saving itself from a Meteor to move at the speed of a speeding bullet to escape. How else can you escape from a 1/4 mile blast radius of a mega flare and still be in one piece? Point is, she stores up so much energy she can use it all to move shit fast for short periods of time, just enough to win the first leg from the starting line, she can store Garnet between the folds of her fat for the duration of it.
