I might need an extra day or so to finalize, but that works well for me!

What's the format for displaying characters' stat packages now? Does it go:
Rydia=2|2|2|2|2|2|2|2|4|5|NORMAL
where the 4 and 5 are Super Goalie and Keepa respectively?

I'd say put them at the ends, yes. I'll try to modify the excel spreadsheet to do this, too.

Ooh - one other question: is it at all possible to, instead of completely redoing one player's 10 level ups, do a couple for each, up to ten total package shifts?

I'd say no. The point of the redo is that you can fix one person that hasn't been living up to expectations, but we're not looking for entire teams to change. The redo is just to fix those "well damn, that didn't work out" characters. Like GB's Dr. Kadowaki. Boy she didn't operate how I wanted! All others just get to level up.

I might need an extra day or so to finalize, but that works well for me! I guess not; I'm all-in.

So... Just talked to AJ, and he said he's out for this round - any thoughts? Can we tap in Amy or something?

One last thing I might like to see: a little more potential customization or something for the formations.

Likewise. I'm always up for formation suggestions.

That being said, I think I've got another friend who might at least be able to contribute one team to the pack.

I think we're just gonna have to play short-handed this season, unless we fill in the gaps by making the Luca Goers and/or Besaid Aurochs. If Juice is out, then we don't really have a replacement. I'm wary about tapping in new people, especially from outside the forums. There's a difference between "I'm willing to design some blitz teams" and "I'm willing to update my lineups once or twice a week for a month." I'm sure Amy would be theoretically interested in Blitz (especially since, if I remember right, all of TJP's original lineup is still available), but she only stops by once a month. Dunno if she'd be willing/able to keep up with it. We might have to just cut our losses and consider having two NPC teams to take Juice's place. Personally, I'd rather have two NPC teams that we control, rather than one PC team from some guy who holds up every round by vanishing for a week at a time.
As for designing new formations... I'm conflicted about that. I think it's really hard to tell, because of all the possible variables, whether a formation is good or not. I know that the Guests Who did BETTER when they switched from Wide to Normal, but they still didn't win, and I think it's almost impossible to judge how much of their (minor) success was owed to the formation switch. Mostly I'm worried about accidentally creating an OP formation. Right now things seem generally balanced, and I don't want to mess with it too much.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I really like the idea of having NPC teams. Like we discussed earlier, we can have the Goers be slightly higher leveled than average and the Aurochs be slightly lower. Then we can spend some time here on the forums designing them. I think it'd be funny if Wakka was the ONLY good player on the Aurochs, and that everyone else was just pure PA, with the idea of "get the ball to Wakka." That amuses me.
Both NPC teams would be barred from the playoffs, so it'd be automatic advancement for our eight teams. I guess I'm okay with that. Or we could go down to a six-team playoffs. But I think it'd be fun if we all had a universal enemy in the Goers. Just all of us hate the Goers. I think that'd be funny.

The problem with formation design is that we don't know how easy it would be for Bob to implement them. I remember that formations were introduced a little later into the development of the program, which means that it's more likely that there isn't the coding infrastructure there to facilitate the easy creation of custom formations, which means that it'd end up being a lot of work for Bob.
I could be wrong here, Bob is a great programmer after all! But the later into development an idea comes, the harder it is to implement as you either have to work around what you've got, or rebuild it from scratch.
I'm ok with NPC teams.

Yeah - I'm all for NPC teams and fine with keeping the formations how they are after all. However, if Remi, who is a long-time lurker (ever since the days of Ipsen and Trix), would like to make a team or two, I don't see why we should prevent him from participating. He's good at strategy and seemed excited when I mentioned the possibility to him. Lastly, no matter how much we build teams, the game gets progressively less interesting with fewer human players involved.

Well if Remi is happy to create teams and will be able to do bi-weekly team updates, then that would be great!
