That happened with Lani last season. She used to have a SHT of 1 and she got a goal. It involved getting really, really close to the net. (FYI Lani was since remade and has a SHT > 1 now).

Yeah... I'm just impressed, I guess - maybe she doesn't want to join the other players who have come and gone from the Nightshades... She got somethin' to prove.

What a game between Marlboro and the Mercs: 7 to 7. Each goal was usually within 30 seconds of the last. Is there a Wall of Fame or something that keeps tracks of the top scoring players?

It looks Fujin scoring came down to the formation. Magic in wide formation and Nightshades in center; Fujin went straight for the goal and had the Goalie Bonus to back it up.

Wall of Fame would be awesome, but I'd take a lot of effort to record and keep track of.

Since I'm not doing stamina anymore, I was thinking of adding individual player stats to the Blitz Team Stats thread. No promises yet though.

I'm eventually going to have a huge excel sheet of all wins and losses, etc (round by round, including match scores)... but that's proving to be time-consuming.

Should be able to sim later tonight, but missing a couple line-ups. Get 'em in and we'll get this round up.

By a "couple" line-ups, I meant everybody except Rich. Newbie's all on top of things. Oldbies be all "pshhh, I gots stuff to do." So we're still waiting on Wyvern, but here's the scoop! Could have the next game Sunday if I had the line-ups, so let's aim for that.
Stamina:
Guests Who Larsa=10 Edea=7 Minwu=2 Alma=10 Leo=8 Olan=6 FuSoYa=6 Lebreau=4
Mercenaries Lani=0 Amarant=7 Ba'Gamnan=10 Gafgarion=7 Tseng=6 Elena=10 Rude=5 Worker 8=6
Loveless Lightning=10 Terra=7 Genesis=2 Cecil=2 Sabin=10 Vivi=6 Hope=8 Marche=4
The Magic Missiles Rydia=7 Garnet=2 Rinoa=10 Aeris=10 Yuna=2 Lulu=6 Selphie=4 Vanille=8
Grizzly Bears Orlandu=10 Sazh=2 Zangan=7 Auron=2 Duncan=10 Galuf=5 Tellah=4 Dr. Kadowaki=9
Sublimely Magnificent 7 Jecht=10 Balthier=8 Seifer=8 Cid Highwind=10 Edge=4 Edgar=6 Laguna=5 Snow=4
Nightshades Blank=7 Illua=10 Fujin=2 Chime=2 Mira=2 Frimelda=6 Reno=4 Cissnei=10
Marlboro Mayhem Brother=6 Tidus=10 Zack=2 Cloud=8 Rufus=7 Shinra=6 Ashe=1 Ritz=10
The Mad Experiments Odine=1 Hojo=1 The Mask=10 Kuja=2 Mikoto=2 No. 288=6 Deling=7 Julius=10
SPOILERS:
Surprise #1: Grizzlies tie against SM7. A top tier team against a mid tier team tying is already a shocker, but what's more is that Jecht was on the bench. I don't think they expected things to go so well without him. Sure, the Grizzlies were missing Orlandu and had their backup goalie in, but still!
Surprise #2: Loveless blows out Missiles. They were favored to win, but not by that much. 11-6 is a significant win.
Surprise #3: Tseng found a way to score with 5:66 on the clock! Me: "........So...still having issues with the clock." You'd think in alllll of this program, the clock would be the easy part. And yet....*sigh*
Surprise #4: Maybe not surprises anymore, but I started with "surprise" and I just can't stop. The newbies, Marlboro Mayhem, have beaten the Nightshades.

Loveless has finally reached the "Learn to Play Offense" day on their "Blitz-a-Day" Calendar. Took 'em long enough, and they've had to compromise their defense, but hopefully we'll see a better, stronger Loveless than ever before.
Hopefully for me, I mean. The rest of you all are probably hoping for the exact opposite.

FYI: Finished off that round with Wyvern's games.
Also: Loveless can suck it. But yes, their offense is improving. GENESIS, is improving. He's a threat now, whereas before he was a liability for your team.
On another note, we never discussed this league's tournament and should do that before we move too much further. I'm thinking we should try out the double-elimination again. Agree? Or does everybody want to go back to single? I think double was a bit more fun.
Also for tournaments, since we have nine player teams, are we going to say that the bottom team in the league doesn't get to play? 8 is always a nicer number for tournaments, but we CAN do 9, it'll just mean some bye games. Personally, I'm thinking we chop off the bottom team. That way, we now have some competition so we can't just throw all the league games to have rested players in the tournament. With only one team chopped off, this doesn't QUITE solve that problem, but it helps. If we do this, then the Guests need to kick it into gear! Poor Guests have had one of the hardest season intros ever. Loveless, Bears, Goers, and Mercs. Ouch.

Okay, got all our results up. I think we're officially behind now, so let's just say next round on Saturday. Get me line-ups before then, so that I can sim Saturday morning and we can keep an actual schedule for the rest of this league/tournament.
Stamina:
Marlboro Mayhem Brother=5 Tidus=7 Zack=0 Cloud=5 Rufus=5 Shinra=10 Ashe=10 Ritz=8
Guests Who Larsa=8 Edea=4 Minwu=10 Alma=8 Leo=6 Olan=5 FuSoYa=10 Lebreau=1

Loveless Lightning=8 Terra=4 Genesis=10 Cecil=10 Sabin=8 Vivi=5 Hope=6 Marche=1
Mercenaries Lani=10 Amarant=4 Ba'Gamnan=8 Gafgarion=5 Tseng=3 Elena=8 Rude=10 Worker 8=5
The Mad Experiments Odine=10 Hojo=10 The Mask=7 Kuja=0 Mikoto=0 No. 288=5 Deling=4 Julius=8
Sublimely Magnificent 7 Jecht=7 Balthier=6 Seifer=6 Cid Highwind=8 Edge=1 Edgar=5 Laguna=10 Snow=10

Grizzly Bears Orlandu=8 Sazh=10 Zangan=4 Auron=0 Duncan=8 Galuf=4 Tellah=1 Dr. Kadowaki=10
SPOILERS:
Gonna make this quick cuz I'm hella tired.
Mercs upset the Mads, who have really fallen in this league from what they did before. Based on THIS league, it isn't an upset, but since they're last tournament's runner's up and last league's winners, it's still strange.
SM7 defeated the Goers! Good job, guys! That whole Center formation thing really works out, it seems. Is the JECHT formation done for? Ba-duuuuuum!
Guests got their first win of the league. Yay!
Loveless did what Loveless does.
And finally, the Grizzlies DEVOURED the Missiles.
That's all, folks! Get the Round 6 line-ups to me before Saturday, please!

I wasn't expecting such a stomping in the first half of my game against the Guests. MAR trailing four points behind at 2-6. Larsa's pretty much a sniper, making shots from (0,0) multiple times.
In the second half, more half-court shots from Larsa, not even flinching when Zack makes an attack. Zack and Alma get stuck in a grudge match, constantly intercepting each others' attempts at passing, until one slips by Alma and gets to Tidus for a goal.
Guests Who win in the end, but only by a margin of 2

Yeah, sniping from half court can be painful, but it tends to come with high variability (large range for shot). If the game is back and forth enough, then turning the ball over from a bad half-court shot could cost them the game.
And those back and forths happen a lot when two defenders run into each other and don't have the END or PAS to get rid of the ball properly. I think the numbers have gotten big enough now that it isn't AS bad was it was, but still, kind of annoying when that happens. One day I'll find a way to code some sort of fix for it.
