Chapter 2 = Posted Chapter 3 = 3rd draft finished Chapter 4 = 2nd draft finished Chapter 5 = 2nd draft finished Chapter 6 = 1st draft finished Chapter 7 = 1st draft finished Chapter 8 = 1st draft finished Chapter 9 = 1st draft finished Chapter 10 = 1st draft finished
Chapter 3, 3rd draft is finished. And honestly, it's pretty much done as it is. I could put it up right now and not be too concerned. But I'm still going to give it one more go and clean up the prose and whatnot. Expect it sometime this weekend. Don't make any plans at all. Whatever your wives/girlfriends/friends/relatives/neighbors say, tell them to F themselves in the A. You've got to sit on the forums, mashing F5 and waiting for me to post Chapter 3. You have IMPORTANT BUSINESS TO ATTEND TO!

One more chapter down. I have more to say, but I'll save it for the discussion thread. When you finish reading, please join me, will you?

Chapter 3 = Posted Chapter 4 = 2nd draft finished Chapter 5 = 2nd draft finished Chapter 6 = 2nd draft finished Chapter 7 = 1st draft finished Chapter 8 = 1st draft finished Chapter 9 = 1st draft finished Chapter 10 = 1st draft finished
Chapter 6, 2nd draft, drafted.
Next, Chapter 11 1st draft. Also, going over my notes, I decided that Chapter 11 is ultimately superfluous, and I've chopped it out completely. So what used to be Chapter 12 is going to be the new Chapter 11. So without doing anything, we've all moved one chapter closer to the end! Woo!

Next, we start editing Chapter 4. I wonder if I can get Ch4 up before you guys get to Chapter 3. IT'S A RACE!

SO... I'm now going on almost a week solid of being totally lazy and not writing. At all. Zero progress has been made in anything since I posted Chapter 4.
I sure as hell ain't summoning up any ambition on my own, so I need outside support. I need you guys to hurl insults at me until I get back to work.

Get to it man! I need to catch up with 4, which will happen once I've finished my epic coursework slog for the week! 3 coursework hand-ins in 4 days, and just one to go!
Recursive programming is hurting my brain.

Recursive programming? Is that like regular programming, but with fancy, curly numbers and they're all connected?
THANKS, FOLKS! I'LL BE HERE ALL NIGHT!

I know you're joking, but I'm still tempted to explain what recursive programming is anyway. I love me some explaining.
And Count, I wouldn't worry about it too much, recursive programming has it's uses, but it's pretty rare that you find a situation where it's more beneficial to use one over something like a loop. Almost any instance where you might wanna use recursion there's probably a better way to do it as a loop. Function calls are a lot more expensive than loops anyway.
Disclaimer: There's a −2147483648% chance I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

There are many mathematical uses for recursive functions. For instance, finding square roots and zeroes. So...I don't think I'd say that it's rare to find a situation where a loop isn't more beneficial.
I'm headed to the true Future Bound thread now, but just stopping in to say "WRITE MORE." It may take me forever to get around to them because of my inability to find myself with a free half-hour to read one in peace, but I still crave them!

Oh yeah I didn't think of square roots. My bad.

After FOR FREAKING EVER, Chapter 5 is finished and posted. As you can see by the timeline, I'm putting more distance between myself and my finished posts, creating a wider buffer. Once I stop widening the buffer, my updates should come quicker.
