If you check the Mallboro website, you'll see that I made a bunch of posts. Read them or don't, it's basically all about the Deus Ex. But as the latest message says, the next couple days, your characters are all magically whisked away to a random world. If you want them to go back to their original worlds, go for it. If not, then pick a new world. If you don't really want to post, that's cool, too, the point is just that the world of Mallboro collapsed and everybody is in a random world.
In two or three days, the portals to return to Mallboro will open and your characters will return to a somewhat-different world.
What I recommend is that you decide now (or soon anyway) how many characters you'd like to play and who they are. You might want to wait until you see what the new world holds, but I'm just recommending that you start getting ideas.
What I'll tell you now is that the new world is much more sandboxy. Things like working at the mall are now entirely optional (though recommended). There will be a few cities, some new, which will all be somewhat different from each other. I'm not going to require people to decide on housing, though I'll still have the apartments around if you'd like (but I'm not even keeping track). The main update I'm trying to make is that there isn't going to be much bookkeeping and a lot fewer restrictions.
I'm going to restart The Arena and separate it into two parts: Hunts and Tournaments. This way, people that do Hunts won't get ungodly powerful and win every Tournament, so there are two separate levels. Tournaments are going to stay generally even. Hunts are going to be considered a job if you'd like, but you can still work at the mall at the same time with no advantage/disadvantage.
There is no more SP, nor full-time anything. More on that later when we restart. Anyway, I'll do another post once everything is finalized and kick off the start.
Count (and everybody, I suppose), would you mind restarting blitzball as well? My thought on both Blitz AND Arena is that we can start everybody back at say, level 5 or something, but then at least for a while, we'll have people gain like, double-EXP or otherwise increase the level-up rate so that we can finally start getting into some bigger numbers, but by restarting to a low number, people that didn't initially understand the processes will be on level-footing again.
I've taken a lot of your comments very seriously, so I hope you like how things will restart. And when I say 'restart,' I should specify that everybody will remember everything and this IS a continuation, as we discussed, but the world is going to change. This is going to give a good opportunity to change characters though, since maybe some will just decide..."Eh, I'm not going back."
Feel free to discuss things here, including who you're going to start playing, stop playing, etc. The character limit is being removed, so you can do as many as you'd like, though personally, I'm thinking I'll cut back since I could probably play fewer characters better than many characters.
