Oh, and while I'm thinking about it, if Sarah Palin runs for and is elected president in 2012, I am leaving this country. Anyone of a similiar mindset it welcome to join me.
Juice and Count, you may take this time to make your Canada versus England arguments, as I am yet undecided as to where I will go, but I'm too lazy to learn another language, so it will probably be one of the English-speaking countries.

Well, last year some relatives who moved to Canada a couple of decades back visited us in England for the first time since then. Their kids had been born in Canada, but they agreed they'd rather live in England having visited us once. That is my sole argument.
Other than that, well, we have some of the world's highest taxes, unleaded petrol has been on the rise for several months now (currently sits at around £1.11 per litre, and takes about £35 to fill up my Fiesta), education fees are enormous, and the number of young offenders has increased dramatically in the last few years (read: chav culture). Other than that we have nice countryside and a few good cathedrals, but nothing amazing.
Honestly, I'd rather live in Canada too. The only complaint I hear about it is that it's boring, but I'M boring so that suits me down to the ground! No nightlife for me!

A lot of people have a "grass is greener" mentality about our country. You know, that's probably because your neighbour is us... and our grass IS greener Well, except maybe in Saskatchewan and Alberta. God, they're so flat and boring! Okay, my Canada vs. Britain argument: There is none! I've never been to Britain but I wanna visit, but... I can say usually people want to live in the country they're not actually from. Well, younger people. That is, when they visit a different country, it always seems better. Probably because they were so excited to be there in the first place, and that excitement sticks. BUT! I have noticed that, out of all my US friend and Japanese friends (save for one Japanese ex-girlfriend who likes Germany the best), everyone who has BEEN to Canada absolutely loves it and wants to return. Just make sure you don't start your adventure here in Saskatchewan or Alberta, the flat provinces... Try for BC or Ontario. Being from BC, I'd have to say I love it the most... I've never been to Ontario, but... but BC is just so pretty! Also, we have Arbutus trees. And these trees don't grow ANYWHERE else in the world! And they're probably the world's smartest and strongest trees ever. <_< >_> Wait, why am I talking about trees now? Who cares, Arbutus trees rock. PS: Thank you Amy for posting video links and turning this back into the type of discussion page it started as xP PS: That mystery song is AWESOME I should probably do that as well, eh? I'm sure you've all heard of Flight of the Conchords, but just in case here is a sample of their music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY8jaGs7xJ0There's a new Tim Horton's commercial for Rrroll up the Rrriim to Win (I don't expect any of you to actually know what that is yet, of course), and I freakin' love it... but it's not yet up on the internet! When I do find it, however...

Holy crap, I was shown that chainsaw maid one from a little quiet girl I knew about a year ago. I really didn't think she had it in her to even watch that kind of video

Well, youtube just recommended this to me for watching 'Cloud goes to the convenience store'. I gotta say, it's pretty wacky. The first 90 seconds at least anyway, then it just seems like a bunch of other random FF videos. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnlPw-Ltllc&feature=rec-r2-2r-7-HMFrom the comments to the video, I've worked out that the whole 6 minutes is a bunch of anime references which I just don't get

Yes, it is. It's a bunch of animes you haven't seen because a half hour of each would likely give the average viewer diabetes. XP

Yeah. I looked up lucky star's intro since it was mentioned in the title of the video, and I did feel a bit in need of insulin afterwards

The final-final ending, full length cheer leading dance...just keep away. I've watched enough shojo to endure, but...you may need to eat some beef jerky afterward to feel manly again.

Such is my manliness that I don't even know what Shojo is!
...A google search informs me that it is anime or manga aimed at 10-18 year old girls. I'll pass.
